I was thinking about Nancy and Ace wanting to see the sunset and sunrise with each other and I read too much into it because I’m unhinged.

For Ace, his life was stagnant before Nancy came into it. He had no direction and he was stuck in a job way smaller than what he had the potential for. Nancy brought him purpose and the desire to be more, and he changed for the better because of her, for her. So to him, she is sunrise, full of possibilities and excitement, the golden rays lighting up his dark sky.

Now Nancy, she has been through so much in the last year. The relationships she had with the people around her stretched and pulled and distorted at times. Her life has been so messy and chaotic and through all that Ace has been a soft, steady presence, someone who amuses her, someone she can rely on blindfolded. So he is her sunset, coming home after a long, hard day where it’s comforting and warm, where she can take her armour off and be herself.

For Ace, Nancy is sunrise, his light and for Nancy, Ace is sunset, her home.
