For all my endless love for Azriel as a character and his upcoming romance arc, it absolutely infuriates me when Gwynriel stans say the next book is ABOUT HIM. Like, not even about Gwyn. About him.
Yes, he’ll be in this book and will be fleshed out as a character. But Sarah J. Maas has always written ABOUT women and FOR women.
So just think about it: why on earth would she suddenly deviate from this rule right now and dedicate a book to him and HIS CHOICE? Especially, as many assume, his story with Gwyn. Think about it: in the grand scheme of things, this character isn't even secondary, she's tertiary. She gets so much page time in Nesta's book because that book was created for Nesta. Only for her. And sure, we're not ruling out that Gwyn might have some sort of arc with all this lightsinger power, but she is clearly not going to outshine Nesta, Feyre, or Elain. No matter what is being pushed on you by people overanalyzing every micro-movement in a book that has NO ROMANTIC subtext – again, no matter what they tell you.
It's wild to me that every interaction this man has with literally anyone gets analyzed in a sexual context–except with the one he actually wants. And comments like "Elain is like a sister to Azriel" are even wilder.

Nope, there were zero friendly vibes between them, don't fall for it. They've been flirting literally since their first meeting. A friend doesn't act so possessive, a friend doesn't get jaw-clenching jealous, a friend doesn't want to drop to his knees in front of... well, you get the point.
Elriel is coming, and they are endgame. No matter what kind of bullshit they try to feed us about this "spark" and other headcanon crap, where the only proof is that he glanced at her on page 567 while they were trying to catch a firebird from a trident-shaped slope in the Himalayas, and that obviously means they're meant to be.

I want to point out that this post is based entirely on theories that ACTUALLY exist in our fandom. I didn’t make any of this up; this was written by people who posted it with stars in their eyes, genuinely thinking they had dropped something special and groundbreaking. Enjoy the most desired storyline of the Lulu moms / Elucien / Gwynriel fandom!
Nothing infuriates me more than Gwyn stans who have invented their own lore based entirely on fanfics. They firmly believe she will inevitably become the Inner Circle's universal favorite and receive their unconditional support. In their fantasies, Feyre will gladly entrust her with her child, making Gwyn the most adored aunt in the world. Meanwhile, the "evil and useless" Elain will turn green with envy, watching someone else's happiness, incredible warrior strength, and universal love. According to their version, Elain will throw herself into Lucien's arms out of spite—because Azriel, of course, will merely sleep with her and dump her for this bright extrovert, who is supposedly destined to miraculously heal him and make him a better version of himself through one single healing duet (LMAOOOOOO).
It gets worse. Everyone around will suddenly start hating the modest, poor introvert Elain. Even Nesta will abruptly decide that a training buddy is more important to her than her own sister, and Feyre will finally write Elain off as a narrow-minded empty shell. The Inner Circle will joyfully embrace Gwyn as a new, upgraded version of a sister who surpasses the original in every way. Rhys, seeing the shadow of his own deceased sister in her, and filled with hatred for his "forever evil and sneaky" sister-in-law, will simply kick Elain out for the sake of Gwyn's happiness. After all, he is so sick of her flowers. Instead, he will enthusiastically build a training ground for Gwyn, because she is so magnificent that destroying everything Elain cared about is the only logical solution. Like a good older brother, he will, of course, also gift her half the kingdom so she can rule there.
In the grand finale, Elain either cruelly rejects little Lulu, or he rejects her (because she is unworthy of him, and he runs off to Vassa), leaving Elain to go to Tamlin out of sheer desperation. They will live together among endless meadows, because since there are no flowerbeds left for her in the Night Court, she has a direct ticket to the Spring Court; otherwise, she will simply wither away without her gardening. Or she accepts the mating bond because she has no other choice. But of course, they are "happy," and she settles for this prince with no castle, no horse, no stability, no wealth, no conscience, no honor, and no word.
And this is exactly what they think the perfect progression of the Gwynriel storyline looks like? Oh, the wet dreams of crack shippers...
