Between my original work and fanfiction, I've got so many ideas noted down at the moment I feel like I'm drowning in them. How the hell do you guys manage to get through them??

How do people go about commissioning long fics (or any fics, really)? Like, what's the etiquette for this? How do you find writers who do this? Do you provide a simple prompt or a longer one with event milestones you'd like included? How do these things work? Does it have to be a free thing - like, you can't pay someone to do it because it's fanfiction? What's the deal with this, please? This is a new area for me so I'm a bit lost here so could use some guidance on this! 🙏❤️ (Ty in advance! ❤️❤️)

Despite my silence here (you can thank covid, several job changes, and an incomplete data transfer after getting a new phone for that), I've been plugging away at a slow-burn, long-fic and can't wait to share it! Currently stands at 70k across a prequel, main story and sequel. By the time it's done, each fic is likely to be at least 70k each (I think).

Except something happens and a person A (let’s call them A2) from a parallel dimension, where they can recognize how amazing person B really is(whether they were together or not) , comes over, and they’re ecstatic to see person B because in their universe they’re dead. And A2 starts spending time with B because they miss them, A2 spoils them rotten and is very upset about how A has been treating them. The rest is up to you ;)

So I picked up a book on writing & put on some background Netflix...

'Book Club' has been an unexpected treasure trove of hilarity! Lol. Needless to say, I am seeing one heck of a pattern & am questioning my mental age. 😂😂😂👌🏻
