SIDENOTE HERE BECAUSE HOLY SHIT.  They did an experiment where these guys wore masks and some of them fucked with crows.  Pretty soon the crows recognized the masks = douchebag.  But the nice guys with masks they left alone.  THEN, OH WE’RE NOT DONE, NO SIR crows that WEREN’T EVEN IN THE EXPERIMENT AND NEVER SAW THE MASK BEFORE knew about mask-dudes and attacked them on sight.  THEY PASSED ON THE FUCKING INFORMATION TO THEIR CROW BUDDIES.

They remember places where crows were killed by farmers and change their migration patterns.

Guys I’m really scared of crows now. (q)

Oh dear gods.  I've just had a stunning realisation.  My preferred style of dress was informed by Sheriff Lucas Buck.  I was watching American Gothic at just the right age to want to dress like my hero at the time - and it bloody stuck.  Long sleeved shirt, waistcoat, slacks, boots, three quarter length coat...  Even the friggin' pocket watch.  The only difference is that I prefer suspenders to belts, and of course I look much less handsome and quite a bit more busty than Gary Cole...

Non-negotiable..?  Holy hells, you really do know how to make my life difficult, don't you..?  Five things I like about myself?

1.  I'm speedily sarcastic.  It helps me end a lot of arguments; even if it's with a grumpy sigh and a retreating back on the part of the other person.

2.  I have a... certain facility with the written word.  I don't know if you've noticed this or not; I'm just putting it out there.

3.  Uh...  I know how to be quiet, and, more importantly, when.

4.  Crap.  Um.  I'm not dead yet..?  I don't know if this is something I like about myself though.

5.  Er...  I came up with at least three things..?

I think it's time for my annual Babylon 5 marathon.  I'm missing a copy of The Gathering though, so it's going to be an incomplete watch this year.  Ah well; such is life.

Top 5 B5?

So, I’m really curious about everyone’s top five B5 universe characters. If you had to pick your five absolute favorite characters in the Babylon 5 universe (this includes spin-offs and extended universe), who would they be and why? :)

ivanova, delenn, franklin, lyta and galen

Galen and Ivanova are tightly ranked together, but since Galen is a sassy mage who said a great big 'fuck you' to the rules, he gets first place (sorry Ivanova; you still rock though [shall we recite the B5 mantra..?]).  G'Kar comes in third (his story arc is one of the most fascinating in the series IMHO), closely followed by the other sassy bastard Marcus Cole ('I've always said you can get more with a kind word and a two-by-four"), with Vir ("Abrahamo Linconi..?!") rounding out the top five.  Honorable mentions go to Galen's lady love Isobel, Captain Gideon of the Excalibur and Max Eilerson.
