Regular bears tell stories of angel bears sent by the Bear God, pure white and twice as strong as any normal bear could be, who rule the summit of the Earth and kill all who stand in their path.

And they are right, those bears exist and totally do that. Humans just have fake angels as a cope.

I also think Shane and Ilya definitely pick up each other's habits and vocal quirks and of course they have all their inside jokes and it's especially fun because there are different languages involved. Ilya can do a pretty good Shane impression and sometimes when they're goofing around Shane starts to mimic Ilya's accent and their shared repository of idioms is utterly incomprehensible to anyone else because it's an amalgamation of Russian and French translated into English or vice versa and they don't even notice they're doing it anymore, and sometimes they're just sitting next to each other and Shane's hand is on Ilya's knee and Ilya's hand is on Shane's shoulder and you can tell they're having some kind of absolutely scathing conversation about what just happened on the ice but they haven't said a single word and you can't even make fun of them for it because then they both go all teary-eyed about how they had to get used to communicating in secret and how nice it is that they get to just joke around in front of other people and how are you gonna respond to that?

there are too many things happening this summer that i'm thinking we are going to need an extra 6-12 months of june and possibly another 3-4 months of july. probably no extra august as the problem should hopefully sort itself out by then. we are also looking into extending the day night cycle to 55 hours and extending the human lifespan to 10000 years.
