This dazeddwarf person critiqued/asked for clarifation on something mentioned on the post. They didn't do it in a October 7 apologist way, they didn't call it a "Holocaust". They just critiqued a thing already mentioned on the post. I once read an article by a gay man from Palestine. He mentioned "the tragedy that occurred" at October 7, the rest of the article was about the suffering of Palestinians. One sentence, that's literally all it takes- yet people act like their "caring about Palestinians" street cred will get sucked out of them by condemning it. So they don't acknowledge it or worse, excuse it. (And then there's things like other neighbouring countries not wanting to take Palestinian refugees but not getting any flack for it from westerners or the richer parts of Gaza with open restaurants while others starve that no one seems to care about)

It's extra weird happened at the same time/slightly after Ukraine was in the cultural spotlight. I've heard it said by someone that if Ukrainian soldiers killed a group of Russian civilians they would condemn it too.I whole heartedly agree and if Ukraine hit student dormitories that's wrong too. None of my "caring for Ukrainians" washes away by condemning that.

People say it's alright because of Israeli oppression. Did you know that after WW2 there was a group of holocaust survivors called the Nakam who wanted to enact revenge by poisoning German water supplies? Even this was condemned. Did you know of the Omagh bombing where the IRA left a car bomb that killed civilians and even the IRA THEMSELVES apologised for the attack denying it was meant to do so? You know Imperial Japan was allied with the nazis, you still feel bad for the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

But no we can't condemn October 7 because Isreal did bad things. Not like Nazi Germany, the British or Imperial Japan.

It's extra rich when it's someone like Americans saying it's alright because it's "stolen land". Alright lets say it is, so is the US. So if tomorrow some native American equivalent of Hamas killed your civilian loved ones purely because they were American, including children that would be justified too?

That would just be "fighting for freedom" or whatever? Or is it only alright when it's someone far away you don't identify with?

Sahlins walks you through Fijian cultural beliefs regarding “cooked men” and “raw women”. If you can follow along and accept Fijian cultural beliefs regarding cannibalism, then you should be able to accept Mesoamerican beliefs regarding sacrifice.

I just got a follow from someone excusing Hamas. No, I'm NOT calling someone that just for talking about the tragedy that is innocent Palestinians getting starved and caught up in the crossfire, for that is a tragedy. I'm talking about someone re-blogging stuff about the "Hamas rape myth" and whitewashing the October 7 attack.

Hamas supporters fuck off. Tumblr as a whole seems more pro Palestine than Isreal so extremists of the former outnumber the latter but I commented on this on another blog ages ago and got someone saying there was no innocent Palestinians or whatever. Those people can fuck off too.

There's this creepy fucking idea that you have to either call what the victims of October 7 went through a tragedy or what Palestinian civilians went through in the aftermath a tragedy and anyone who goes "uhm actually kids being killed isn't that bad/didn't happen when it's THAT side doing it" is the exact sort of person I'd imagine falling for brainwashing and excuse atrocities if it was their own country where the conflict was taking place. Dead children don't become more or less dead because they're Israeli or Palestinian. I don't remember who said it but someone pointed that if Ukraine started killing Russian civilians their supporters would condemn that too. It's really not that hard, yet somehow people seem allergic to the concept of accountability.

I highly doubt Hamas even cares about PALESTINIAN lives. They are happy enough to use "their people" as a meat shield to garner international sympathy. They also seem strangely well fed while "their people" starve.

I grew up with a shitload of animals, was a curios kid and my parents didn't really censor any info for me so I almost certainly just learned from hearing the animals mated, got pregnant/laid eggs and had babies. I'd actually recommend this because it avoided all the social/moral explanations. My parents also bred dogs. Once, when I was taking a bath with my mom (very young) I asked how it could be so difficult for a dog to give birth when the newborn puppies weren't THAT much bigger than a really large dog shit, that's when I found out babies didn't come out the ass. Since I never really had a specific "talk" and just asked questions I used to worry I was missing some really obvious fact.

Other hijinks:

When I was in kindergarden I saw some book about the stages of a fetus developing and the first pic showed a couple sleeping in bed next to each other. So I thought people had sex in their sleep. I once again asked mom (she drove) if men had bones in their penises "no" "then how do they control them?" (I meant manuever).

This is memory I "remember remembering" if that makes any sense, but around the same age, after I saw that book, I had a sleepover with a boy (I'm female) and his mom wouldn't let us share a bed (??? we were kindergardners?) and I think that I thought she didn't want us to have sex in our sleep but I'm not sure I thought that. It's a story i remember remembering if that makes sense.

Hi, I'm the person this is about. Noone ever threatened to "beat OP to death in their wheelchair". Op made a post saying they wanted put on a mask to scare chase children around for asking about their disability. I posted this exact quote:

Even ignoring that the only thing you'd achieve is making them hate you and for the parent/anyone watching sock you in the face for pestering a kid and by then it'd be well deserved."

Op then shows up angry I didn't realise they were "just joking", I ask why they didn't just say that. (They were also yelling about people "imagining beating them over and over" which I only see now as at this point I was just ignoring them because I was talking to someone else)
