idk if you still wanna know why theres sometimes that symbol on alif (the one that kinda looks like a c or backwards 2) is because the arabic words cant start with vowels and that symbol is a letter called hamza which is the sound that happens right before you would pronounce alif. So like in english the word orange starts with a vowel but if it was written in arabic it would start with a hamza because it starts with a glottal stop and not a vowel sound, like the sound in the middle of uh-oh

My reasons to learn dialect arabic and Modern Standard Arabic (MSA)

MSA: I could read newspapers, magazine, understand movies’ subtitles, papers, articles, watch to news, speak with on academic spaces, comunicate with people on internet, in general, “everyone” could understand me it’s harder, i could understand wikipedia

Dialect: i could read comments on internet, understand movies’ audio, listen to music, comunication with a part of some region, it’s easier, i could understand facebook’s pages, vloggers and bloggers

Choose a dialect whose more similar to MSA, and there’s more content, speak arabic is a spectrum between MSA and a dialect, some linguistics say that should separate dialects like differents languages, dialects can change in the same country =(

Can’t see yourself waking up at 6 am every morning? That’s okay, start at 8 or 9 or 10 or 11 if you need to. Can’t cook a proper meal yet?
