Hanif Abdurraqib from: they can’t kill us until they kill us

Textpost by "littlenamu.ig" regarding parenting. The post reads:
People raised by emotionally mature parents, what's 1 phrase your parents used that you want other parents to know?
This is followed by a reply from "mix.becca":
my husband has an incredible mother and he talks about how she never said they were bad kids, only that they were *behaving* badly. She'd say things like "You're SUCH a kind boy. Why would you say that mean thing to your sister? You're not a mean person. What's going on?" He talks about how he'd be like wait....I AM a kind boy. Why am I being mean? Versus being told *he* was bad/mean/thoughtless etc. It's a small shift in wording but she raised some very kind & confident kids!

I wonder what fake sexuality people would say she has today.
is there a name for the thing where people find out that a cute animal is still an animal that kills and fucks and does things that would be bad for humans to do to eachother so they start going "did you know DUCKS are EVIL?? did you know DOLPHINS will NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF GOD?? did you know your CAT is MORALLY BANKRUPT??"
I propose "misanthropomorphism".
it's wild that popular discourse around migraines is that there are too many people who claim to have migraines but "just have bad headaches". this is the exact opposite of my experience? i'm still trying to convince several of my friends that their "bad tension headaches" that are unilateral, throbbing, cause light sensitivity, nausea, etc, are migraines lmao. migraine is underdiagnosed and undertreated by every metric i can think of.
this narrative is not harmless! it prevents people from getting treatment that could really benefit them. so i would like it to die. thank you.
What is crazy to me is that I didn’t know I had migraines...until I ended up in the E.R. It turns out that there are “silent” and/or less-common symptoms that my body was throwing my way that didn’t register to me. So in case anyone else, like me, really had no idea and also thinks they’re being a big baby when they really aren’t:
