f1f has just been banger after banger. both of the lestappen+seb fics are so hot, “a very polite amount” is some of the funniest smut I’ve read in a long time, and “there was one moment” hits that hot/sweet/devastating x3 combo and is lowkey just a literary masterpiece.
the one I want to ask you about specifically today though is “delicate shivers, burning skin.” you describe the events of the story as an exception to the norm, which does a great job of setting up the stakes, but it leaves me with so many questions! how do the other pack members feel/what are they up to while lestappen+kimi are occupied with kimi’s heat? what would a more regular heat/rut look like? how different do race weekends look in this ‘verse?

verlectonelli, i really have to write a sequel to that fic with a regular pack heat/rut, just for contrast. that was the original fic idea as well, it just... grew legs and ran away from me. oops. pack cycles are meant to be easier on everyone, shorter, safer, more comfortable. (i'll definitely write one.)
in the fic, the pack is kind of on edge, to be honest, because they all know and feel they should be helping like they normally do. most is hanging around the pack room, waiting for a call to action, others are distracting themselves where possible.
the race weekends, i haven't given much thought actually. i'd expect if there is a cycle to take care of, they'll stay in whatever location they are in for a few days longer. not everyone has to take part at once, either, just enough people that no one ends up exhausted. including the cycling person, since they're so well cared for.
