Someone asked me why I like TodoBaku/BakuTodo. Honestly, it’s just because they’re such opposites you know, one gets rage-baited easily, and the other is a total rage-baiter. I think their relationship would work perfectly; and when I say perfectly, I mean perfectly…

The thing about Todobaku is that they're one of the few pairings where both characters can be completely themselves. Shoto doesn't get overwhelmed by Bakugo's intensity, and Bakugo never treats Shoto like he's fragile.

Bakugo always treats Shoto as someone worth challenging. Their growth together is just chef's kiss.

It’s not just a rivalry; they actually respect each other as equals, and_I feel like in a relationship, they’d just balance each other out perfectly. It’s honestly the most honest dynamic in the series.

Todobaku feels so balanced because neither of them revolves around the other. They both have their own goals, their own identities, and their own confidence. When they're together, it feels like a partnership between two strong individuals rather than person constantly chasing the other's approval.

Solo Leveling: Jinwoo Sung is absurdly OP and it should be boring. But somehow... it isn't??

[from my limited perspective of having watched S1 & S2. No spoilers please!!] The ghost of vulnerability lingers. By the end of Season 2, Jinwoo is operating at peak ability. Every high-octane fight delivers that gut-punch of primal satisfaction that comes from witnessing pure domination. But it doesn’t get old because you remember him bleeding out on dungeon floors not so long ago. Being pitied. Being dismissed. That memory never fully leaves the frame, and it means every display of overwhelming power carries an unspoken 'and people used to laugh at this guy'. It's not just competence porn — it's vindication.

His silence speaks volumes. Most shonen protagonists announce themselves. Jinwoo just arrives and handles it. And the gap between what he says and what he can do is where the tension lives — it makes every fight feel like a reveal even when you already know he's going to win. He's got it covered no matter how daunting things get, and there's something deeply compelling about witnessing that inevitability play out in real time.

The lone wolf aesthetic. Jinwoo levels up alone, walks his path alone, shoulders his burdens alone. He attracts people who want to be in his orbit and while he might allow them close, he always maintains a distance — his internal world is strictly off limits. There seem to be no kindred spirits for Jinwoo to relate to and there's something incurably romantic about that.

He doesn't do any of it for validation. Jinwoo quietly acts in service of his own goals and seems almost above grandstanding. His emotional climate is a sovereign nation and he doesn't feel the need to prove anything to anyone. The icy restraint never cracks no matter how he's pushed or provoked; being underestimated doesn't get under his skin. In fact, he seems to thrive on it.

He only picks on things his own size — or larger. His inherent protective instinct keeps him grounded. Though his bloodlust seems to be burgeoning, he avoids fighting things that don't want to fight him and instinctively shields those weaker than himself. He doesn't have a hero complex — but he'll make sure every innocent bystander in his vicinity is safe as a matter of course, and seems almost bemused by gratitude when it comes.

Take away the dungeon floors and the pity and the dismissal, and he’s just another overpowered protagonist. The dominance is satisfying precisely because the wound underneath it is still fresh. Jinwoo works because he's a power fantasy that remembers what it cost.

MHA: Endeavour is denied forgiveness - and that’s kind of the point (for me atleast, lol).

Endeavour’s easily one of the most controversial characters in the MHA world and while his character isn’t particularly likeable - his arc on the other hand, was gold. MHA plays in the grey spaces between good and bad a lot, and refuses the easy answers. With Endeavour, all his sins have been in the name of ambition - marrying his wife for her quirk, creating his children as means to an end, abusing/neglecting his family to serve his own goals all of those things sit squarely beyond the boundaries of redemption. There's no argument to be made otherwise, and the story doesn't try to make one. But here's what makes his arc genuinely compelling: when the consequences finally catch up to him, Endeavour actually gets it. And what’s more, he doesn’t expect to be rewarded for his remorse with redemption. He simply offers atonement to his family, allowing them to dictate the terms of it entirely and understands that he has forfeited his right to make demands. And that scratched an itch I didn’t know I had because it's something we rarely get to see in real life. Yes, Endeavour is a deeply flawed character. Yes, he has damaged people around him in permanent ways. And yes, there is nothing he can do to make up for it. But the character of Endeavour does not let that deter him; his remorse is so real that he considers the pursuit of unattainable atonement to be worthwhile. He subverts the label of a one dimensionally ‘evil’ character and fights to stay in the grey, even if the white is denied to him forever.

Deku’s relentless badgering was interrupted by the arrival of their food. Todoroki received his cold tanuki soba with an expression of reverence that was frankly obscene for a bowl of noodles. Katsuki watched him separate his chopsticks with the focused precision of a man performing a sacred ritual.

"Get a room, IcyHot" Katsuki scoffed, pouring the whole shaker’s worth of Shichimi togarashi into his katsudon. Todoroki struggled to retort through an overstuffed mouth, his comically ballooned cheeks causing Deku to dissolve into a fit of laughter.

Despite himself, Katsuki felt a fractional loosening somewhere behind his ribcage. This was fine. Familiar. The three of them folded into a booth while the TV in the corner played shitty Jpop from the 90s —Deku talking too much, Todoroki eating with too much gusto, Katsuki pretending he'd rather be anywhere else.
