Hello! If it's not too much, I would like to ask how you choose colors and/or what kind of layer modes you tend to use for your art! In particular I'm interested in the very atmospheric pieces you have with that beautiful blue lineart.

first of all thank you so much !! and i'm so glad you asked about this because i've been trying to go for that effect for a long time and only recently figured it out :')

it started with a conversation i had with a very skilled friend where i basically asked them "bro how do you draw like that" and they just told me to shade with blue. like that's it. so now i typically draft sketches with saturated dark blue

secondly, for layer modes i usually shade w light bluish grey on Color Burn mode, and dark brown on Color Dodge mode for lighting. i then slap an overlay layer on top which is usually a desaturated peach, though this varies depending on the atmosphere you want! i've been using add/multiply mode for light/shade for most of my artistic life but the aforementioned 3 blending modes just make things so much more fun

and as for choosing colours... lowkey I just eyeball it 😭 but it's good practice to try to pick colours you see fit before going headfirst into filter modes!

thank you for the interest 🥹🥹 but being completely fr i don't have much art/lore on her yet bc i haven't yet played lobcorp/ruina... (i know the lore and have watched playthroughs but i'm still by definition a larper)

TLDR (a lot of this is STC):

they're a former head researcher at a Lobcorp branch, got kicked out for being an asshole and winded up a schoolteacher in a Nest

following the White Nights/Dark Days incident arbiter Stratt picks him up, gets him semi-acquainted with the Head, and forces him onto the Hail Mary on a mission related to Carmen and distortions (if we equate sun = Carmen)

the Hail Mary is equivalent to Mephistopheles for the LCB - it's a bus shaped vaguely like a spaceship that can also shapeshift and induce varying degrees of gravity. Rocky maintains its functionality because Grace is a terrible pilot and terrible engineer

speaking of Rocky - for the sake of not violating any Taboos, he's an abno of Grace's own creation that represents his perception of an "alien friend". Grace spends a lot of time in their room with Rocky cooking up weird experiments and yapping about them to the other Sinners who don't quite appreciate it

the funny thing is the equivalent of Armando on my bus is the manager A.M. from I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream. it begrudgingly makes Grace coffee every morning and hates literally everyone else. i don't have a good design for AM yet so that's another story

she's probably my lore-heaviest Sinner and thus the hardest to figure out. her canto would be dead last
