Oh ya this pose is fun, worth it
Because weakness is great, and strength is nothing.
tbh i really want to know more about kolya. what were his thoughts on nikita and nadya's relationships? how did sanya react to his death? who did he work as? what did he think about olga? what was his childhood like? would he be a good uncle? when is his birthday?? what food does he like???
так много вопросов, так мало ответов....
hes one of my favorite pafl characters and i know so little about him.. but i love him anyways
Honestly, even though there's been very little of him in the series, he's also one of my favourites! I can't answer all of your questions because we will get a closer look at him later on, so I'll keep it more or less general.
Kolya was a very calm person, very easy to be around and casually talk to. He worked as an electrician; in his free time, he enjoyed photography and music, and played the guitar. He was particularly fond of 90s-early 00s Russian rock, which ruined Sanya's music taste forever.
That said, he was a rather difficult person to deal with in close relationships. And not because of him being an airhead (though that could be troublesome at times).
Despite the calm demeanor, Kolya was a very uncompromising man, and not a very empathetic one either. Not quite uncaring, but very detached from people as a whole. In some ways he was a lot colder than his brother.
Fun fact: him and Nikita used to both speak with country boy accents. The latter just actively trained himself to sound more "educated".
the file is always crashing and cutting from 61 secs to 40

Main Story: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 (FINALE)
What relationship did Kolya have with Sanya? Sergei? Nikita? Nadya??? I’m not expecting all of these to be answered at once btw lmao I’ll be happy even if you answer just one
I can fire them off one by one, no worries
He wasn't particularly close to Sanya, at least not nearly as close as Nikita was. She was fascinating to him in a "child of the Zone" way, but it's not like he was very interested in her on a personal level. He did, however permanently affect her music taste. To her, he was the strange spaced out uncle that had cool electronics around the house and took pictures of her and Sergei. He also played the guitar like her dad used to.
Kolya and Sergei had a lot more to talk about. Kolya's calm demeanor helped Sergei feel more at ease despite the terrible circumstances. Even with his ditzy nature, Kolya provided a certain sense of security and comfort. Kolya always considered Sergei a good kid, though he did believe his treatment of Sanya was too overbearing, especially considering his own relationship with Nikita.
Kolya was empty-headed, soft-spoken, neither very fit, nor particularly smart - thinking that, Nikita felt responsible for him. It was all good intentions, but with a constant undercurrent of one seeing the other as lesser. And Kolya always hated that. He couldn't fully despise his brother, because in the end, he did almost everything he could to help him. But it would be wrong to say that he harboured zero resentment.
He met with Nadya very briefly and she didn't leave much of an impression. Not because she was particularly boring: simply put, Kolya didn't care much about people in general. He wouldn't bother to form an opinion on anyone he wasn't in constant contact with. He didn't feel bad for Nadya when he learned Nikita left her. But he did feel a certain contempt for his brother: what a show of weakness from someone who's supposed to be so much more reasonable and competent than himself.
HOW THE HELL DID SERGEI MANAGE TO TAKE CARE OF A 5 YEAR OLD AND STILL GRADUATE??? JESUS CHRIST HOW MUCH CHILD NEGLECT HAPPENED
OKAY, LISTEN, IT WASN’T THAT BAD
After the death of Sergei's father - Victor Kazarin - his colleagues did not report his disappearance for fear of raising suspicion and to prevent both Sergei and Sanya from being sent to an orphanage. Victor had saved up a good sum of money just in case of something like that happening (and that's largely why Sergei is saving up a good portion of his salary as well). Until Sergei turned 18 years old (so, for about a year and a half), his father had remained officially alive, with Kolya and Nikita overseeing the remaining family and helping with filling out tax papers and things like utility bills, as well as providing general guidance!
