Side blog for the Warriors series by Erin Hunter.
● Eclipse, #1 Leafpool Lover and Defender, supporter of evil mollies, enemy of StarClan
● Contents of this blog should usually be similar to the books themselves, but may dip into discussions on more mature topics, so I would probably rate the blog about 16+. I’ll aim to tag more serious topics.
● I mainly reblog art, but also enjoy the more critical and analytical side of the fanbase. If that isn't your cup of tea, you might not enjoy the discussions as much.
● I don't tend to tag canon-typical violence, events, deaths, etc.
● There will be spoilers, of course. I stopped reading the series after OOTS, but I do not care about spoilers myself, I just don't know as much about the later series. I will only tag spoilers for the most recent arc (currently Changing Skies).
● Rereading the series to eventually check in on the newer arcs. Current Book: Into the Wild
In this house we love and support Leafpool and Squirrelstar!
Also enjoy Dovewing, Hollyleaf, Spottedleaf, Bluestar, Cinderpelt, and Ivypool here, but Leaf and Squilf are my faves.
Main Projects
Various ideas and alternate universes that I would like to write someday. Happy to answer questions about these.
Warriors Rekindled
● A re-imagining of the series with more fantasy elements, changes to family trees, additional lore, incorporation of other AU ideas, etc.
● In no way meant to be a "better" rewrite, highly indulgent to my personal taste and for fun
● Diverges considerably from canon, but still follows many of the major plot beats
● Tags: #warriors rekindled | #WR!character
The Starsworn Saga
● Inspired by Warriors more than a direct rewrite of it, spawned out of my increasingly out-there changes to canon
● High in the fantastical and supernatural elements
● Most animals have changed significantly, including the cats, which are more cat-derivative cryptids (I fondly call them crypticats); features other groups and creatures
● Post-apocalyptic setting in which humans no longer exist, but magic does
Infection Series
● Content warnings: infection/epidemic, blood/gore, violence on par with main series, body horror
● Inspired by the MLP infection AUs trend and 10% left AUs
● Challenging myself with a different idea for each arc:
● TPB: Carrionplace Plague
● TNP: Cloudstar's Curse
● POT: Eye of the Eclipse
● OOTS: Dark Forest something, idk i don't have a cool title yet
● DOTC: Blazing Star Blight
Arthurian Tigerkin
● Reshaping Tigerkin roles and arcs around Arthurian mythology. For reasons.
Mini AUs
AU ideas I don't plan on writing, but instead just speculate on and summarize. Might include some snippets occasionally.
C2C AU: My attempt at a fairly traditional rewrite of the series. Some changes to names, lore, and characterization, but with the goal of expanding on/fleshing out canon. Once a main AU, but now something that exists only in an abridged version.
Hypoparent & Hypokit AUs: AUs where certain cats have different parents or creating litters for pairings.
Generation Swap: Switching casts of characters between different arcs.
Alternate Clan Series: A collection of what-if scenarios involving Firestar joining a different Clan. I am also interested in exploring how other characters belonging to different Clans would change the books.
haii this is a smaller drawing for today :) i intended them to look a bit like pomeranian mixes but i was a little tired so i didnt put too much effort into making them look like dogs, haha.
Also, i know people give Squirrelflight the signature white paw, but i was like "haha, wouldnt it be funny if the 'white paw' had red markings that look like blood bcuz of scourge and the other red paw was the actual white one?" SO...
I made leafpool have sharp stripes to look like leaves but i dont thijnk i communciated it properly. I also gave Leafpool a flower crown because I feel like Medicine Cats should have like..i dont know, flower crowns and wreathes.. or bracelets, something to signify that they're medicine cats?? So that they wouldn't get attacked in battle? Cuz that was like..a rule. In the first series of books. I don't know. UM. Anyway.
Gave squirrelflight a lot of hearts in her design. Why? I think her love for family is insanely strong. and I know her name is Squirrelflight not Squirrelheart, but i dont care. Heart themed squirrelflight it is.
