My grandma used to babysit a family friend's infant (and then toddler) and when he started walking every time he'd go up a staircase he'd start groaning and complaining about his back like my grandma does whenever she walks up stairs.

I'd rather hang out with someone who keeps accidentally calling me slurs but treats me like a person, than someone who actively polices every word anyone says and acts like belonging to a marginalised group is my only redeeming quality as a person.
This is because you have watered down the concept of a slur. I would never accept a man calling me bitch or a white person calling me a spic or beaner. Your idea of a "slur" is not dehumanizing. Somehow a person can treat you like a person while still using this slur you have in mind and I can't think of a single sex, sexuality or race based slur that does as such.
[tour guide voice] and if you look above, you will see a post made by the second type of person, in their natural habitat, engaging in their natural behaviour: insisting that another person must be lying or wrong about what he would personally prefer, on the grounds of not comprehending that I am a different person than they are. It is entirely possible that people who are not you have thoughts and opinions that are not the same as yours.
Many words change over time - from being acceptable and regularly used to later be banned and seen as a slur. Not everyone has the capacity to keep up. On top of that what is concidered offending varies between different social groups. For example, I could easily see a friend call me a bitch in a totally endearing way. I get OP because I feel the same way. Rather someone a bit clumsy socially who genuinely care than someone acting "right" all the time without really caring at all.
The tomato is a bit misleading xD

your past self was doing the best it could. You know more now, and in the future, you’ll know even more! You grow each day! Don’t hate the past versions of you for not knowing what you know now.
ah yes, my favourite foreign language feel, “I know what all of those words mean individually but not together like that”
not to forget its twin “i know (roughly) what you’re saying, but what are those words?”
Plus the secret triplet “I managed to get your drift but I don’t know how to answer you”.
And the unwanted stepchild “I practiced this interaction but you’re not sticking to the script”
slapping this badge on my blog

You don’t need to get to a certain point in your healing where you’re suddenly “worthy of love”.
You are worthy of love as you are right now. Try not to forget it.
growling through gritted teeth about how much i love humanity and its vast and beautiful heart and potential for love and community and creativity and greatness as a whole 🤬
you are allowed to be proven wrong. you are allowed to change your stance on something. you are allowed to change your mind.
