labeled these to the best of my ability and my goldfish brain of a memory but remember, you are responsible for your own consumption
saw a post abt HBO removing shows that suggests ppl just “burn dvds” but everyone doesnt know how to do that so here is one way to do that
- get blank dvds (Both +R or -R work, I think +R is slightly cheaper, the difference is rewritability), these are not very expensive for the amount you can get in bulk (if you are in the US 100 of them is about 30$ at walmart)
- an external DVD drive that plugs in via usb is also around 20-40$ (it tends to be closer to 20)
- download DVDFlick (free)
- if you don’t already have the mp4/mpeg of whatever media you want to burn, you can download movies/shows off of sites like gomovies.sx and soap2day
gomovies.sx will have a download button that looks like this
below the video you can choose one of these
if you click streamlare for example and then the download button it will take you here where the mp4 is
(if you’re on an iphone/ipad, clicking download will save it to your files app)
- if you cant find the download button on soap2day you can also install a video downloader extension which will find the movie for you
- at this point you can drag and drop it into a google drive or keep it on your computer but if you still want it on dvd ->
- open dvd flick, drag and drop the video
- click “project settings”
- give it whatever title you want, you can change encoder to “normal” (default is below normal if you are doing other things on the computer). you dont need to change target size or thread count (unless you want to)
- insert a blank dvd into your drive, make sure you click “burn project to disc”
- click accept then click “create dvd” next to menu and project settings. it will create a destination folder and this dialogue box will pop up when you click “create” on more dvds, just click “yes” and then “okay” on the box that appears after it
it’ll take a couple hours, once its done take a sharpie & write whats on it and stick it in a case . or dont . im not ur mom

I cannot put into words how much I Fucking Loathe the fact that when you search something on youtube now it will randomly intersperse blocks of "people also watched" and "for you" into the results. That's not what I searched for, youtube. I typed in a search query because I wanted to see search results, not random unrelated garbage you have placed in my way apparently to either inconvenience me or force me to scroll further for actual results. I despise your wretched little games and every time I see it I can only instantly close the tab as I am overcome with the urge to burn something down.

There's a fuckton of great shit out there you can rid of with uBlock (though hellish this has to be done in the first place). Rid of login popup walls, evaporate entire sections like with YT search. It skips right past YT sponsorships in videos usually. It also gets rid of ads/pop-ups in general which is a great addition to an adblocker. And no more TOTALLY LEGAL STREAMING with constant ad pop-ups of 60-yo MILFs in your area looking for HOT DERANGED SEX!!!!!!!!!!! And you can always whitelist sites you want to have ads on, to idk support your local craft store website with some extra revenue.
Disclaimer: Sometimes when YouTube/any site updates, these codes stop working, so then you have to find an updated version. Aka you gotta scour some forum for an obscure 3-upvotes answer again. Fun times. Personally for me above code still works for YT search results.
And if you're extra pissed off and hate the rounded edges on YT, here's a 2nd code you can paste right below in 'my filters' and save. As for YT dislikes I just have a separate extension for that :')

Not as big and flashy but there are charities such as RIP Medical Debt. They buy up medical debt at discount debt-collector prices but instead of trying to collect, they just forgive it. Donate $10 and you can wipe out $1,000 of someone’s medical debt. This is the only one I know of, but I believe there are others.
This has happened to me before when I was in college at a frat party. This girl comes squeezing herself in between me and my friend and throws her arms around me. “Amanda, I am so glad you decided to come!” I was so confused and just figured she was drunk and mistaked me for someone else, until I saw the panic on her face. She leaned close and whispered that a guy was following her, was certain that he had put something in her drink and if I would please play along. I looked behind her and sure enough, some creep was watching her like a hawk. We invited her to hang out with us the rest of the night and even waited until her ride showed up just to make sure she was safe. Always look out for each other!

And if you’re a guy and you notice some creep is following or stalking a girl, and that she’s obviously uncomfortable or panicked, go ahead and say hi, long time no see, pretend to be her cousin, and tell her discretly you noticed there was a shady guy. Alternative option for a guy: if you feel safe doing so, go up to the creeper who’s following her and be like “hey WHAT’S UP bud do you like SPORTS? My favourite team is the redsox what’s YOURS my man? What you DRINKING dude that looks GOOD.” and be friendly and just loud enough to blow his cover. Draw attention to him and see what he does. He won’t feel as safe creeping if he knows people are looking at him, and maybe he’ll leave. It also means the woman won’t have to worry that you are *another* creeper she has to be wary of, and you may distract the bad dude enough to give her a chance to lose him.
