Follow up to the Ides of March post I made before.

Its actually really funny when you think about how much Tumblr really romanticizes the idea. Because hilariously it is EXACTLY what the senators believed would be celebrated. They believed what they were doing was a means of stopping a monarch and restoring the republic. They believed that blatant murder was the right course of action and that their actions would be celebrated by the Common people. Because they believed themselves smarter and more capable than the common people. Brutus made f***ing coins commemorating it. (That is such a tumblr move)

When in reality, these senators all ganged up on and stabbed a man that many considered to be a beloved leader and idolized him (whether he deserved in or not is irrelevant). The assassins ended up fleeing and were hunted down by the people that they believed would cheer for them.

The assassins all died horrible deaths, the senate was not saved and it resulted in a civil war and the rise of an ACTUAL Roman Empire because the people who took over all trying to be Caesar's avenger.

So you could say the senate was really catering to a tumblr audience with that one. And as a result made the very thing that they wanted to destroy.

writing should be fun.

make oc playlists. spend hours on moodboards that have no purpose. write self-indulgent fluff that’s never going to be published. scribble three lines of poetry in the back of your history notebook. draw fanart of your own characters. write stupid dialogue that your publishers might hate. start new wips that you might never finish but write those three chapters that make you happy because if you don’t write them, who else will?

writing shouldn’t always be about “will publishers like this” or “i have to reach this word count” or “how do i get the most likes”.

Un vell somni

Avui he visitat la meva àvia i ha recordat un bell somni, que també és un vell somni, i potser et preguntaràs què fa d’un somni bell i potser no sabré què respondre i potser tampoc ho sabràs tu si t’ho preguntés. 

Un vell somni pot ser bell per la seva vellesa a part de la bellesa innata i no per vell i llunyà deixa de tenir aquella lluïssor que ens va captivar.

He tingut un bell somni estant dormit sota un ombra i un vell somni al somiar truites despert mentre mirava el cel.

Per a mi segueix sent un vell bell somni que serà bell fins arribar a la vellesa i  potser caigui del pou de la memòria, però no per això deixaré de considerar-lo bell.

Viure amb els cinc sentits

Observa al teu voltant, veuràs un nen practicant les seves primeres paraules, una noia preocupada per les decisions del futur i algú gaudint d’un llibre (potser el jove que tens al costat, absort en la pantalla del seu mòbil on no tecleja).

Escolta l’ambient, nota com els sorolls canvien amb les estacions: des del silenci humit de l’hivern fins al cant sec dels grills a l’estiu.

Olora més enllà de l’aroma de cafè, notaràs que hi ha una pedra humida de la casa vella, l’òxid de la cadira a la terrassa o la fruita madura en el bol de la cuina.

Assaboreix els matisos del te, l’acidesa de la llimona i la picor de l’ozó en les tempestes.

Toca la textura de les plantes del prat, sent la tremolor del que espera que comenci un concert molt esperat, passa la mà per la taula esquitxada .

Per què no vius amb els cinc sentits?
