I think one of the reasons drag kings aren’t as popular as drag queens, aside from the fact that straight women don’t like us, is that people are uncomfortable acknowledging masculinity as a performance. Like we as a society know that femininity is a performance, with its own costumes and rules. Masculinity is also a performance, and nothing makes that more clear than someone making an exaggeration of it
To everyone saying that “uh actually it’s cause drag kings aren’t as visually interesting”

Not gonna show this person’s url but my god I’m so sorry that you’ve clearly only been to one drag king show in your life
I could easily say that most drag queens are just the same type of boring gowns and big hair and big tits doing the same boring top 40 pop numbers. It’s not true though, that just happens to be the type of queen that straight girls like the most and ergo gets the most mainstream rep
Never mind that not all kings are women (many kings are non-binary or transmasc), but idk how you could look at the plethora of cool and interesting drag kings online and in the world at large and decide that they don’t count because you haven’t personally seen them enough
Moreover, looks are truly only half the battle in drag imo. When it comes to performance, you’ve got a wonderful range of kings who can do dance, music, comedy, performance art, political commentary, and pretty much anything else you can imagine
Trust me, 99% of the time kings have to work extra hard at performing to “prove” we belong in drag spaces, and we can rarely get away with just putting on a suit.
Your experiences are not universal. And they confuse me. I mean, take Landon Cider, one of the most famous drag kings and the first king to win the drag competition show Dragula.
Ah yes, how boring! (Sarcasm)

Consent is fuckin sexy.
Like seriously who doesn't want to hear:
"Want me to fuck you baby?"
"I'm going to take your pretty panties off now okay?"
"I can go farther if you like"
"I've got some spicy pictures if you'd like to see them?"
"Do you want your cock in my mouth?"
"Do you want me to eat you out baby?"
Like gawd damn 🥵🥵🥵🥵
fucking hate it when the stuff everybody says "actually works" does actually work.
hate exercising and realizing i've let go of a lot of anxiety and anger because i've overturned my fight-or-flight response.
hate eating right and eating enough and eating 3 times a day and realizing i'm less anxious and i have more energy
hate journaling in my stupid notebook with my stupid bic ballpoint and realizing that i've actually started healing about something once i'm able to externalize it
hate forgiving myself hate complimenting myself more often hate treating myself with kindness hate taking a gratitude inventory hate having patience hate talking to myself gently
hate turning my little face up to the sun and taking deep breaths and looking at nature and grounding myself and realizing that i feel less burdened and more hopeful, more actually-here, that i am able to see the good sides of myself more clearly, that i am able to see not only how far i have to grow - but also how much growth i have already done & how much of my life i truly fill with light and laughter and love
horrible horrible horrible. hate it but i'm gonna do it tho
let’s be clear, intimacy isn’t just sex. it’s them mental check in’s, date nights, conversations, forms of affirmations, the small simple shit.
I sometimes still see people tagging #please don't reblog but the post is rebloggable so just making sure you know about this feature:
It's in the post settings under the little gear wheel in the corner and the options are Anyone or No One
As a black lesbian Iiterally hate how the butch/femme thing got twisted the reason it was bad for (non-black) lesbians to say they were lesbian exclusive identities was because that's erasure of black LGBT history and silencing how much those identities mean to us as a community aka fucking ANTIBLACKNESS not because lesbians are a literal oppressor of bi people and gay men black peoples was the main ones tryna explain how and why this was fucked up but y'all forgot about the antiblackness part within a week
Can more than one nonblack person rb this
