Men have hindered the progress of humanity by suppressing geniuses from half the human population.

Women were prevented from making meaningful contributions to mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry, engineering, geology, ecology, etc. etc. for thousands of years.

Think of all the genius women who were forced to become homemakers and housewives, overburdened with 10+ children until their bodies gave in to stress and perished- their intellect only utilised when a man would steal their ideas without credit.

Men talk about how they "contributed everything" to history and science. The question that should be asked is how much more advanced would humankind have been were it not for the barbarity of weak men? How much have men slowed human progression because the genius of women made them feel emasculated?

Y'all I know that when so-called AI generates ridiculous results it's hilarious and I find it as funny as the next guy but I NEED y'all to remember that every single time an AI answer is generated it uses 5x as much energy as a conventional websearch and burns through 10 ml of water. FOR EVERY ANSWER. Each big llm is equal to 300,000 kiligrams of carbon dioxide emissions.

LLMs are killing the environment, and when we generate answers for the lolz we're still contributing to it.

Side note, but the way the article (The Guardian, of course...) calls them "schoolchildren" is so disingenuous to me. "Schoolchildren" evokes the image of elementary school boys and girls. These were teenage males, arguably a demographic with the least empathy and the most violent tendencies.

When I was in therapy after surviving years of domestic violence, my therapist had to tell me that my personality was primed for abuse and we needed to work on that so I would be better equipped to see the red flags and respond appropriately in the future.

I'm still working on this, and it's been 8 years. If you tell someone how you want to be treated, what behaviors you don't tolerate in your life, what you're looking for in that relationship, and they react negatively, don't compromise yourself. Just move on.

i've been playing a lot more neopets lately because i mean what else am i supposed to do with a wfh office job and man. forgot how much truly evil game design is in this thing. like i knew it was not a good website on every kind of technical level. i feel like it was really the wild west of pet websites there when they were building neopets. i remember being a kid trying to follow plot guides and theyre like 'okay you have to pull this shit from the websites source code' and it was like. im 10 idk what that is yet but i guess im going to learn.
