No, they didn't.

Armand was never a vampire capitalist.

Armand just wanted to give his beautiful boy his every wish. He wanted Daniel's one, precious, mortal life to be filled with beautiful things for Daniel's pleasure. He wanted him happy and well cared for. He wanted him dressed in the finest clothes and fed the finest food and drink. He wanted to spoil his beloved and shower him with gifts and surround him with luxury. He wanted them to have a home away from vampires, where they could live happily together. It was never about the accumulation of wealth for the sake of wealth alone. It was all for Daniel, because Armand loves Daniel, NOT money.

But Louis, now that's a different story. Louis is a capitalist, and he was before he became a vampire. Louis accumulates wealth for the sake of wealth. He didn't need the brothels, he had other legitimate businesses on Claiborne, but they didn't make as much money for him.

Louis collects art, but only so he can resell it. He even said he'd make more money if he got lucky and an artist killed himself.

When Daniel's book is published Lestat is devastated. What does Louis do? Louis opens a chain of vampire themed boutique hotels to capitalise on the vampire craze.

When Louis hears Lestat's music, which Louis says is a cry for help, what does he do? He buys a share of Lestat's merchandise so he can make money off Lestat's "cry for help".

Louis makes money off the back of other people's misery and misfortune. If you don't believe me, go and rewatch his confession to the priest. Louis makes money for the sake of money. That, my friend, is a capitalist.

Armand uses his money to give Daniel the most comfortable and beautiful life that he can possibly give him. That, my friend, is not capitalism. That is love.

This one took a hot second but I'm superduperduper proud of it. I also know I promised pencil sketches to fill up the time but ya boy got carried away lol. This one is a counterpart to my other comic, "Blue Dress". Where that one had Puppet Spam reminiscing about his past, this one's about AdiSpam thinking about his future. I really really really want to make a sequel to this comic but it all depends if the reception of this is strong enough lol

Hey so as the economy continues to get worse in the next few years, gambling companies are going to go extra hardcore predatory as people become more desperate. Yes, even more than they already are. You have to promise me right now you're not going to fall for it. No gambling, okay?

This is going to be especially bad with prediction markets and sports gambling, and it's already really fucking bad. But it also goes for loot boxes, blind box collectables, trading card games, and ESPECIALLY gacha games.

Fun fact I just learned: The US has a Spanish-speaking population larger than the entire population of Spain, making it the second largest in the world after Mexico

Yes this may be an English speaking country but it is also a Spanish speaking country.

And that’s just counting people who speak Spanish at home. The US doesn’t count how many people speak multiple languages so we don’t know how many fluent second language Spanish speakers there are 🤷🏼‍♂️
