My take on swap au: their personalities stay the same, I switched around only how well they were able to handle everything that happened to them throughout their lives. This is the outcome lol

a commission to do my take on the swap au!! in which kim’s disillusioned and fed up of being respectable after what hes witnessed and experienced. while harry is still disco but hes into it like a dad would be into ska. he’s still got issues ofc but hes developed healthier habits. also harry talks through his ascot to kim in a funny voice.

also also just imagining - if swap au kim hung out with orig harry they’d be soo bad for each other. like the worst besties ever. they’d probably kill each other from all the partying.

conversely original kim and swap harry probably wouldn’t even hangout. they’d just be two guys who do their job and don’t force each other to play games or dance or anything. i think at least one of them has to be an idiot to break down the others’ walls.

first take on a role swap au : ) this Harry is a more-tempered superstar cop and a big flirt with unbridled optimism for the future. his hope is genuine but it is an act to keep morale from going 6 feet under. in their line of work, morale is in short supply these days. Harry can come off a bit creepy, the voices that occasionally tell him exactly what a person is thinking aren't wholly responsible but they don't help. this Kim is a man who has been burned badly and become jaded by his time at p57 ending in a nihilistic burn-out. the only thing keeping him alive rn is his work and he knows it. working himself to exhaustion and beyond often using substances to keep going. relying on them to keep going. Kim hits a wall in Martinase and doesn't get up for quite a while. Kim is very put off by Harry and his eccentricities in the beginning. Harry's optimism in particular annoys him, seeing it as naive. Harry sees Kim as a man who needs some support and acts very carefully around him, maybe a little over-friendly. he doesn't believe that kim is in a state to be on the case but without much he can do does his best to be a supportive companion

all this is subject to change I'm still working out what i want their dynamic to look like but i think this works for now
