I’m gonna share something very personal pertaining to my relationship with my dogson Ziggy Stardust. A while back I had a partner (not my current partner they’re absolutely lovely) but before that I had a partner who used to verbally abuse me regularly. I never thought I’d EVER let someone treat me that way. But there I was and I felt I deserved it. He would call me names and scream bloody murder about how I was stupid. I tried to make it work cause I felt this was what I deserved. He stole medication from me he would regularly call me a stupid bitch but still I just accepted it. Then one day he was screaming at me towering over me and Ziggy got in between ready to defend his mum. I didn’t not want him to bite because I didn’t want it to be turned around on Zigs and he be the one who suffered. So I covered him with a blanket and dude brow pulled Ziggy under whom was under the blanket and hit him twice and that’s when I finally snapped. He tried to gaslight me later and kept trying to change the narrative of oh I hit the blanket (dog was under) to I mostly hit the bed but. I ghosted that fucker. This is just some context on how much Ziggy means to me. He put himself in danger for me he is my best friend. Beautiful eye and beautiful beans. He’s doing better still lethargic but I think that’s normal. I made an appointment with his regular vet to get his kidneys checked and GI but that won’t be until we are done with his medications. He’s definitely feeling better but 100 hoping everyday he doesn’t have to go back to the ER
