Maybe it’ll bring me luck enough to win every single contest in the future.” With a smile, she nodded at her friend, actually enjoying the despite even if they were just playful words. “You’re being so kind to me, and I don’t know how to deal with it. Have you ever seem Full House? Because I’m about to pull a Danny Tanner and give you a hug.”

“I don’t think I can get you a new deck, I wouldn’t know the best places. But I will for sure get you that badge, because who doesn’t need more cute badges? I was obsessed with them for years, I think I have a box just dedicated to badges back home.” She smiled at the memory, shaking her head at her younger self. “I am always going to welcome hugs, and you’re way too sweet for people not to be kind to you. It’d be like being rude to a puppy, some things you just don’t do.”

Or just come back, we have a different selection of goodies every day and it’s always nice to see a familiar face, that’s how you know you did well when baking.❞ The brunette chuckled softly, slowly walking to the cash register. ❝Well if you’re ever interested in learning, I’d be happy to give you some tips? Baking is all about close attention to detail but other than that it’s a piece of cake, pun intended. Libby, the pleasure is mine and sure, knock yourself out. I’m actually very flattered you want to do so.❞

“If they taste even half as good as they look, I have a feeling I’ll be back again. Even if it just because I want to try that carrot cake at some point too.” She smiled, before chucking at the ‘piece of cake’ comment. “I love a good pun, so that gets you some extra points too.” She replied, when she’d stopped laughing. “That’s a great offer though, and if you were serious, I might just take you up on it.” Once she had the go ahead, she quickly snapped the picture. “I need to tell other’s about this place. Great cakes as well as great service is a hard combination to come by. And when you find somewhere good, you should always share it with others, so they can know how amazing it is as well.”

“You’re lost then.” he joked as he boxed the necklace up properly. “What type of base are you looking for? Gold, silver, rose gold? I don’t have a lot but I have a few that you can look through. Those must be popular since I’m almost sold out. Barely keep them on the shelves this summer.”

“Damn, I thought I was finally getting a decent sense of direction.” She spoke, shaking her head, despite the smile on her face. “Can’t go wrong with some rose gold. If you have some other styles you’d recommend, I’d totally be down for seeing them too. If you can’t trust the people who know about jewelry to guide you in the right direction, who can you trust?”

“I don’t know if I could handle more than one Pippa, I’m already too much,” Pippa replied with a playful tone to her friend as a chuckle escaped her lips. “I’ve heard that before, yes, but I do like to hear it over and over again. Not because I’d like to boost my ego… or maybe that’s the reason. Either way, you’re also the sweetest and I’m glad that we’re friends.” And with that, Pippa leaned closer kissing Libby’s cheek.

“I think you’re the perfect amount of Pippa.” She spoke, placing her hand gently on Pippa’s arms, sounding like a drunk girl at a party who just went around complimenting everyone. “I’ll get you a little badge that says you’re the sweetest, so that everyone who sees you walk by knows.” Smiling at the words, she nodded in agreement. “I’m glad we’re friends too. Life would be less colourful without you, and who doesn’t love having a colorful life?”

“May I give you a suggestion?” he said to the person that seemed about to enter the restaurant. “I wouldn’t go there if I were you. They take hours to bring your order, it’s ridiculously expensive and not really worth it.” He had reviewed the restaurant just a few days ago. “But at the end, it’s up to you.”

Deciding to try and widen her horizons,  she’d been trying new places to eat around the city. So far she’d found a few more places she loved, and a lot more that was best avoided. Walking towards the next place on her list to try, she paused when she heard him speak. “It’s that bad?” She asked, sending a hesitant look towards the restaurant. “Okay... Do you have any better alternatives?”

“ i’m not sure what possessed you to do that, ” amaya said, eyes wide. the well dressed, entirely too privileged man had been bothering everyone in the cafe with his loud phone conversation and utter disregard for everyone else. he was the epitome of the absolute worst sort of customer. so when someone had taken the opportunity to ‘ accidentally ’ spill their coffee on him…the lawyer couldn’t say she was displeased. the man had left in a frenzy, yelling ‘ do you know who i am ’ and ‘ i’ll sue you ’ and all sorts of other nonsense. “ but he certainly deserved it. i’d happily represent you if he actually does try and press charges. ”

At the words, Libby wasn’t sure she could have answered if it was a proper question. She didn’t have much of a reason to spill her coffee on them, but when he’d nearly made the obviously already nervous server cry, something inside her sort of snapped. “Honestly, I’m still not fully sure why I did it. But that poor girl looked as if she was going to burst into tears at any second, felt like somebody had to step in and do something. With how he was acting, a polite and civil conversation wasn’t going to work out. So accidentally spilling coffee was second best.”

❝Excellent choice, I’ll wrap these up for you or do you want to chill out here for a bit?❞ She chuckled, bustling about behind the counter as she scrambled to get the order right before it flew out of her brain. ❝For now, both. I’m a little low on staff lately so I’ve been manning all fronts but I can’t complain, it’s honestly nice to chat with customers.❞ Isabelle offered the brunette a bright smile as once she was finished plating the food. ❝I’m Isabelle by the way, welcome to Velvet.❞ 

"I would chill here for a while, but I’m a little worried I’d just end up buying everything I can see.” As much as everything was exaggerated, she was pretty sure the longer she spent in the bakery, the more she’d find something else that she wanted to try. “Talking to customers used to be my favorite part of retail. But then, I never got to bake cakes for the other part. Which is good, since I can’t bake to save myself.” She laughed softly. “I’m Libby, it’s nice to meet you. You don’t mind if I take a picture of the display cases, do you? They just look so amazing, and I want to show it to others.”

Thanking the gorgeous woman when she agreed and picked up her bag, Elise took it from the girl and sighed. Laughing, Elise nodded her head. “Of course, retail therapy always makes me happy.” Elise admitted and shifted the bag in her arms a little, hoping to not drop anything. “How about you? Are you here for some retail therapy too or to just shop around?”

“I’m glad you’re happy then! And the shops should be too, those bags look like your keeping them in business.” She joked, although she was genuine about the first part. She might not have known the other woman, but she always wished everyone well. “Just to shop around. See if I can source any good beachwear. Tis the season and all that.”

“That’s the beauty of our friendship, we have our differences and we love it about each other,” Pippa replied, smiling at Libby. And once she heard the woman’s proposal she couldn’t help but to feel excited about it as she nodded in agreement. “Really early, since I’ll only get older in November but I could never say no to that. We can do it! Thank you! And I can even borrow them if you’d like to listen to my genre at some point of your life.”

“Why have friends who think exactly like you do? Might as well just buy a few mirrors and hang out with them, if you wanted people with the same taste.” She joked, even if there was a little part of her that was serious. She’d always loved surrounding herself with people who had different interests, because it introduced her to some new thing. “What can I say? I like to buy gifts really far in advance. Aw, thank you! Has anyone ever told you, that you’re the sweetest?”

Damon had been working for most of the day. The shop that him and his best friend opened not too long ago was getting some business but not a lot. While she was planning a Summer event for the shop, he was making some new pieces. Hearing the bell from the shop, he got up while still tinkering with the clip to a necklace he was making. He made his way to the counter and finally sat the necklace down once the clip was fully on. “We have a big sale on rings if you aren interested. Unless you are just getting away from the famous Australian heat then feel free to relax here for a bit. I won’t mind.”

Wandering into a store that had come recommended from her friends, she wasn’t expecting someone to talk straight away. Though, she did have to admit it at least show they were big on customer services. “No rings, but I was wondering if you had any small bracelets? The thin ones that are so light, you almost forget you’re wearing it.”

With bags in both of her arms, Elise had been in and out of stores for some shop therapy. Deciding to give her father’s credit card a bit of a work out, Elise had bought almost everything she set her eyes on. About to enter one of the stores, she had dropped her bag and groaned. Elise decided that she didn’t want to pick up the bag as it would result in her needing to drop her other bags, she looked around until she found someone whose back was turned to her. “Hey you, could you possibly get my bag?”

Needing some new swimsuits, Libby had been walking around the shops for a while trying to find the right one. She was looking into a shop window, trying to figure out if it was worthwhile to check in the store, when she heard someone talk. Glancing around just to make sure it wasn’t her attention they were trying to get, she turned around fully when she didn’t see anyone else around. “Sure.” She answered, it wasn’t as if it was going massively out of her way to pick up a bag. “ A little retail therapy?” She asked, picking up the bag and handing it back to her.

With the intention of enjoying the beginning of her afternoon at the Rose St. Artists’ Market, Pippa knew she’d ended up focusing on everything all at once, craving to buy something from each artist who was here. From books, to artworks and even fashion items. Now she had her hands in two lps before she directed her words to the person next to her. “Help me out. Deep Purple or Led Zeppelin? I’d buy themboth, but I’ve just seen a beautiful piece of art that would look great in my room, so now I need to make this important choice. Or, I could show you the artwork and you could tell me if it’s worth to buy it or to ignore that and simply go for these two amazing vinyls?”

“Is this where I admit it’s not my genre, so I don’t know?” She asked looking between the two covers. She knew a couple of songs from each of them, but not enough to be able to make a decent choice. And she didn’t want to make the wrong one. Looking between them again, as if some magic inspiration would strike, she eventually gave up and moved her eyes back up to Pippa. “What about a best of both worlds thing? I can get one of the vinyls, and you can call it a very, very early birthday present? That way you can get everything.”

❝I’ve got red velvet cookies with a cream cheese frosting filling, a classic favorite; fresh carrot cake, also with a cream cheese frosting, as you can tell it’s a recurring theme.❞ Isabelle chatted on as she arranged each dessert on the platters set in front of her, her brown orbs focussing intently on making everything look perfect. The bakery had been a little slow at the moment, giving her a moment to breathe and really tend to the small details, while still interacting with her customers. 

❝Uh, we’ve also got some croissants, sweet or savory your choice. Any how, see anything you like? Anything I can get you?❞ She finished, finally looking up with a soft smile as she wiped her hands on her white apron.

Listening to her list off what they had, all Libby could was that she wanted to try a bit of everything. They all looked too amazing to chose between, but she wasn’t sure how she could explain coming home with way too many cake boxes. “Um... Could I have three of those red velvet cookies, and three of the savory croissants please? Oh! And a cupcake, whichever one you think is the best.” She finished, looking back towards the person behind the counter. “Do you make them, or just serve them?”

“Uuurg..!” Exclaiming in a very frustrated, intense sound, the brunette struggled with the bottle of champagne. The cork wouldn’t come out and it wasn’t like she could ask for the opener after she stole the drink. It wasn’t like Mary needed to be stealing - although she had been in quite a financial affliction - yet the woman couldn’t help it, her impulses and desire for trouble were stronger than her. “Why can’t I open this, tell me whyyy,” she wined in a strangely Northern English accent, automatically returning to her origins when disturbingly intoxicated, her doe eyes actually watering up slightly. An emotional wreck, the British could barely hold her feelings. “Why. Won’t. You. Open!” With one final push, the cork flew across the bar in strong pressure, hitting the back of someone’s neck. “Bloody shite, mate! Are you alright?! I’ll share the alcohol, I promise!”

Taking her drink from her friend, Libby downed the glass before deciding that a breath of fresh air was probably called for. She wasn’t sure how long she had been in the bar, but it was beginning to get a little too stuffy, so some fresh air seemed like the perfect fix. Just as she was about to walk out the door, she felt something hit the back of her neck. “Son of a...” She trailed off, placing her hand at the back of her neck as she looked around to see what had hit her. Looking up, she nodded at the woman’s question. “Fine. I think it only dented my ego.” She shrugged, before leaning down and picking the cork up. “They can be lethal weapons, can’t they? It’s why I always try to make someone else open them. That way, you can never get the blame if it hits someone. Are you okay? No wait... That makes no sense, you seem fine.”

“You are trapped in small place, you are surrounded this tall plant walls… I don’t know is just not my thing, I prefer to be in a place where I can look at the horizon” Diego have done a dozen of things that people may consider far worse than mazes but he definitely dislike this even if he haven’t tried going into one, he already didn’t like the idea of being inside one “I know, I have seen people laughing about it and they are scared of falling off a board. But yeah the food it’s always food.”

Nodding at his explanation, she thought it was best just to drop that particular part of the conversation. She’d always hated when people pointed out when you shouldn’t be scared of something, as if you could just magically get over in a second. “I love the idea of tree surfing, it seems like you could get some pretty good pictures up there.  I’m a little too obsessed with taking pictures, but I don’t plan to cut back.”

Asher looked at the amount of food she had “Yeah I think you took the weight in food a little too literally” He chuckled “Hey if you need any help with it, I don’t mind doing it, why might not know each other but I can totally accept food from a stranger when it looks so tasty”

"I just couldn’t say no to anything. Look at it, it looks like heaven, and who says no to heaven?” She asked, with a small smile. “I think you’d be my temporary favorite person if you helped. That way, I don’t need to feel guilty about wasting food. And really, when has taken food from strangers ever gone wrong?”

“I wouldn’t say I’d want my weight in food, but I’d definitely be willing to share–if you’re offering, of course.” Alex chuckled a little. “I can never say no to food anyway. What am I having?”

“I was one hundred percent offering. I mostly just wanted to try everything, I knew I wasn’t going to manage to eat it all. If nobody wanted to share I would just have leftovers for... about a month.” She finished, looking down at the food with a slightly contemplative look. “I’d try the pizza first. It’s almost magical.”
