My first attempt at embroidery other than little detailing on clothes. I tried to turn in into a pin but itās a little ugly!
Still had fun making this though!
I love saying "cute..." about stuff. because a lot of stuff is cute...
When people argue that food from Chinese and Mexican restaurants in the US are not 'real' representations of that culture's cuisine ignore the historical reality that these dishes were developed by diasporic communities striving to recreate the flavors of home with available resources. Such criticism frames adaptation as a loss of authenticity, rather than recognizing it as a sincere and evolving expression of culture by people separated from their homeland.

Remember when Xbox was going to basically ban used games for the xbox one, and Playstation made fun of them with that video titled "how to share games on Playstation" and it was just one guy handing another a game disk? And now Playstation is getting rid of physical disks entirely
Itās like they expect us to just forget their original marketing schemes in favor of more and more money grabs.
Ad blocking/reporting should have some sort of an "I never want to see this fucking ad again and if you fail me and show it to me again I will track down where you live and fucking kill you" option.
Can someone explain what exactly is the train of thought in people who see a post like "hey if you set your huge fucking dog that runs up to strangers unprompted and also tackles people for fun loose in a public park on purpose, and you just watch that thing endanger everyone without doing anything to stop it, you are an asshole" and decide to dissect it like "hey what if it isn't a huge dog, but just a really really tiny one, who is actually also really skittish of strangers, and I didn't take it off the leash on purpose and it's also not my dog, and actually not a dog at all and was actually just a squirrel? Am I an asshole for seeing a squirrel in the park?" And they're dead fucking serious.

āI asked chatgptāā Iām gonna stop you right there pal because I asked Penelope Garcia and she said youāre a whiny little bitch loser and weāre all laughing at you <3
My dad used to say that the only men who are adamant about their female sexual partners being virgins before them and obsessed with women having low body counts are men who are extremely bad in bed and are afraid of their female sexual partners having anything to compare it to and the ability to recognize that sex is supposed to be good and that particular guy is not good. Which I believe to be true but it was a bizarre yet insightful bit of sex ed to get as a teenager.
personally I'm annoyed by the socioeconomic conditions that made words like "unalive" necessary but simultaneously impressed by the linguistic adaptations young people have made to continue talking about important things while subject to those conditions and I think if you can't hold both of those thoughts in your head you might just be old man yelling at cloud
my favourite bit right now is saying "scientists still don't know" in relation to something I (One Single Scientist) specifically do not know the answer to
some kids came on the train and saw someone they knew hopping on yhe train at the next station. one of them goes "yo is that gay sam??" and im like ughhh. okay is that what we're doing. and then sam comes over and theyre like GAY SAM WHATS UPP and gay sam is like NOT MUCH IM GOODDD IM FRIED RIGHT NOWW and they were like classic sam. so. thats on me for assuming honestly
only time i will endorse putting hypermodern memes/slang/references into historical adaptation stuff is with shakespeare. so many of his jokes are his contemporary equivalent of that anyway. he would have loved secret third thing. he would have loved counting or not counting gang violence
saying "it's okay. I'm only human" before glancing at a nonexistent audience with a slight smirk and a twinkle in my eye (the twinkle is an asterisk) (when you go to read the footnote attached it just says "in the beautiful garden of his imagination he is also another thing as well")
