For me it would be :

World of Warcraft, the game my parents were playing all the time, I tried it out too and I already had my bad habit of creating too many characters lol It was really cool to be able to speak about it within the family

Alexandra Ledermann 9, I just spent too much time on this, the last opus were excellent

Dragon Quest IX and Ace Attorney Phoenix Wright were the best I played when I got my Nintendo DS, I remember how unreasonable I was in managing my time when I played this, I spent too many afternoons in my bedroom playing ^^°

The Sims 3 (& then 4 when it came out) of course, I can't have thousands of hours on a game without mentioning it XD

There are a lot more I'd like to mention 'cause I played multiple Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy on my gameboy but you can't fit everything XD

with the constant uproar over EA’s failure to properly address the game, the updates and the community, it’s clear we need more than scattered threads of frustration.

that’s why we’re opening this up. Opportunity Awaits isn’t just ours, it’s OURS. a living project, a collective push. we’re putting ideas on the table not to say 'do this exactly' but to show that the fanbase already knows how to build the sims we deserve.

we want you to read it, share it, add to it, argue with it, sharpen it. this is an invitation to shape with us.

because at the end of the day, the message is simple: EA, see your fucking fanbase.

I find it so funny, in light of TikTok’s imminent American demise, that even now they aren’t considering moving to tumblr. The last two social media refugee crises (Twitter -> X and whatever happened with Reddit) prompted a wave of wide-eyed new baffled tumblr users to flood this app and yet last I heard all of the tiktokers are flooding en-masse a Chinese social media app. That is entirely in Mandarin. Instead of moving to tumblr.

There are tutorials going around to show people who don’t speak Mandarin how to sign up for this app. They’re all talking about how they’d rather learn a new language than join instagram reels and it is not a thought in ANYONE’S mind that tumblr is also potentially an option

To be clear im not mad about this. I’d rather see a generation of people learn a new language and engage in cross cultural connections than have a wave of tiktokers flood this app but I still think this whole thing is very funny

no because that is quite literally what is happening on Red Book right now like. All of the Chinese users went “hey why are there suddenly a gazillion Americans on here?” to which the Americans went “they’re banning TikTok and we’re moving out of spite” and the Chinese were like “oh cool send us pictures of your cats and help us with English homework and we’ll send you pictures of our cats and help you learn Mandarin” and as far as I can tell everyone is having a genuinely very nice time together.

I usually am the type to believe the world is doomed but this make me happy. Like you would think people nowadays would choose the easiest and move to Instagram, but NO they kinda show some support against the China ban. It would also be very interesting to see more interactions between two different cultures.

I don't know how many people are really doing this effort of course but it's nice.

Tired of dealing with randomly generated townies who show up with unwanted CC on them?!

Do these 3 things:

1) Use MCCC Tray Importer so that all of your randomly generated townies are from tagged households in your library. I made a tutorial here. These tagged households can or cannot include CC, it's up to you. Need some townies? I have some here and here are others. 2) Use Sims 4 Studio to disable all newly added cc for random before loading your game. I have a waiting folder for all newly added CC so I can test them and run batch fixes. More info on batch fixes can be found here. 3) Use MCCC and a dresser file so that when sims age up they get a premade outfit. May I suggest checking out @blackpanda-ts4's file here? Want more info and maybe to make your own dresser file then see here, here, and here. This a great option for historical players or if you have a limited number of packs, but def more advanced and more work. Make sure to tag all of your active households so the MCCC doesn't dresser clean them when they age up.

I'd like to add that some cc might not be enabled for random, but enabled for the situation outfit category. That will cause it to be on random sims even if random is disabled. That was the case with some of my own cc

The trick to remember is that investors are almost always, without fail, the dumbest motherfuckers on earth who could be convinced to pump money into anything if you use the right buzzwords. Half the time you don’t even need a proof of concept as long as you can convince them that YOUR bullshit will make the line go up higher and faster than the other guys’ bullshit.

Yeah very true, that's also how you have genius scientists with great ideas that never find any investment to make them real, since they are a bit too passionnate and not "commercial" enough...

I don't feel bad for investors loosing money (they are the one who ask to fire thousands of employees just so they could reach their "benefit goal" at the end of the year after all) but their stupidity in these contexts like AI is sometimes still surprising.
