No. 5 of #100daysofbooks , The Trumpet of the Swan, my favorite book by E. B. White.

Louis is a Trumpeter Swan who can’t speak, so his father steals a trumpet for him to play. The story follows Louis as he travels all across the country earning money to pay his father’s debt. It’s slower than Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little, but it takes it’s time for the reader to become familiar with the many settings, especially the nature scenes in Canada and Red Rock Lakes.
