Famous books whose Italian titles are not literal translations of the original
Anne of Green Gables (L. M. Montgomery) – Anna dai capelli rossi (”Red-haired Anna”, lit. “Anna with the red hair”; curiously enough, the first translations were more faithful to the original, but the Japanese anime Akage no An – literally Red-haired Anne – was being broadcast at the same time and the new name stuck)
