Awwww I’m honored!! And of course it can wait till tomorrow. We are running a little low on food as well. Maybe we can go grocery shopping tomorrow?
It’s only September why do all of you keep asking me for Pumpkin Cake?
Because yours is really delicious! And I want your baking, honey.
I almost was blown away with how much more we were covering stories here in Los Santos then when I was back working in Liberty City. Sure, my station wasn’t very popular in Liberty City, but it was crazy just how different things were. I’m so happy I came to live here.
Favorite kind of news day? [Meg ponders the question for a few minutes.] A busy day for sure, but not a day full of nothing but death and destruction. Too much of it just gets depressing at the station. I love days when there’s a large variety of news to report. Because then we can manage which stories get told when, and make it more enjoyable for the audience watching. At least, that’s how I feel about it.
Okay. I’ll try to wave one down if I spot them before you do.
[Meg smiles just a little mischievously at Mica before she sips her tea] It’s alright. That’s probably a good thing that people sometimes forget. With me being married to Caleb and everything. That’s good to hear though. I’m doing fine! Work at the station is great. There’s talks about moving to a bigger location since we’re getting a little cramped in our current building.
I’m okay with that! Please get comfortable. Do you want to order something to eat or drink? I’m sure we can flag a waiter down.
It has been a bit since we’ve spoken hasn’t it. How have you been doing Mica? The crew treating you well I hope?
[Meg looks up from her cup of tea and grins wider if possible.] Mica! It’s so good to see you! [She shakes her head at Mica’s apology.] It’s alright. I was thinking of finding some company anyway. With a beautiful day like this it’s hard to want to spend it by yourself you know?
[Meg is sitting at a small table outside of shop, enjoying some food and tea. She has a huge smile on her face, very obviously happy and cheery. About what? Even she didn’t have a solid reason. She just was in a very good mood. People passing her by seemed to cheer up as they passed, almost as if Meg’s sunshine personality was giving others a reason to smile.]
[Meg just finished with her day at work when she got the text. She stopped, staring at the text. Did Gavin text that right? Was she sleeping?]
[SMS: Free Pyro] Um.... [SMS: Free Pyro] You did what? [SMS: Free Pyro] Why??????
Sleep Tight | Meg&Caleb
Meg makes no movement or wakes up when Caleb takes the book from her, it easily slipping from her loose hold. Removing the glasses only causes Meg’s face to scrunch up for a moment in confusion as the glasses were slipped off her face. It’s when Caleb actually starts to move her to a more comfortable position that she slowly starts to wake up. Humming, Meg’s eyes open and blink sleepily as she looks at Caleb.
“Hi honey.” She mumbles, yawning a little. “Mm what time is it?” She doesn’t remember even falling asleep. How long had she been out?
Sleep Tight | Meg&Caleb
Caleb does his best to stay quiet as he closes the front door behind him, already shushing Fly’s excited wiggles as she comes clacking up on the floor to greet him at the front door. It’s late, later than he expected to be home. If Meg’s not asleep by now he’ll be surprised, and he doesn’t want to wake her up with an excited dog or his arrival. He locks the door behind himself and then slips into the house. His backpack he sets onto the couch instead of bothering to empty it; Meg’s probably asleep and in all honestly Caleb wants to be too- he doesn’t delay in slipping off his shoes or heading for the bedroom.
He opens the door as quietly as he can and toes inside, deciding as he does that he’ll just change now and shower in the morning. No need for that noise; his goal is the bed and his wife hiding in it.
Meg had gone to bed not that long after getting home. Work was long and busy and she was tired. It was a good tired though, the kind of tired that told Meg it was from doing a good day of work. She managed to grab a small bite to eat, play with Penny and Fly for a little bit, before settling in for the night.
Though she ended up not being tired enough for sleep so she decided to read a little before actually turning in. She hardly got enough time to read some of the books so she was eager to read a little. One chapter turned to two and then the words started to blur a little as she read and before she knew it she fell asleep.
That was how Caleb found her when he entered the bedroom. Laid back against the headboard with her pillows cushioning her, book across her lap, glasses still on her face, and asleep. She didn’t wake up to Caleb coming home or entering the bedroom.
“Good Evening Los Santos!” Meg cheerfully said to the cameras. “This is Meg Denecour and Mark Fischbach here to give you the evening news.”
“And do we have a lot of news to give you all.” Mark chimed in, shifting through his papers. “Where shall we start this evening Meg?”
“Well Mark, I have received some interesting news from the police department. As you know, Halloween as only just a few days ago. I’m sure a lot of you were out celebrating, either with your kids trick or treating, or celebrating with friends.” Meg paused for a moment. “Then there were some that didn’t let the holiday stop them from going out and causing trouble. Multiple eyewitnesses have come forward to the police department, telling that they saw two teenagers commiting multiple candy related robberies throughout the area.”
“That is interesting, but what makes it different than the others?” Mark inquired.
“Well, the eyewitnesses said that both teenagers were dressed up as Los Santos’ very own ‘Mad King’. So it seems to the station that they might have wanted to imitate the man and use his status in the city to get what they want. The two teens have yet to be apprehended. But since it seems that no one was hurt during it, that they have heard of yet, the police have said it was most likely just a Halloween spree and nothing more. If someone does come forward it will change but that seems to be the end of that.”
“Spooky. Makes me wonder if the other members of Fake AH have ever had something like that happen before.”
“Oh I’m sure it has. But let’s move on to the next topic of the evening. Local reports of....”
