The possibility of a variant of Odin being arrested by the TVA and his nexus event being that he loved Loki will never stop haunting me. Because surely in an infinite amount of universes in at least ONE Odin genuinely either grew to love Loki or never saw him as a bargaining chip but as another son,only for the TVA to reset the timeline. I hate Odin so much but I can't stop thinking about this scenario

But also I do think our Odin did love Loki. He just didn’t love him right. I believe Odin did begin to change his mind about using Loki as a bargaining chip, but he also was an awful father (to both Thor and Loki tbh).

I’m the biggest Odin hater out there, but I do think our Odin cared for Loki, but he definitely treated him differently to Thor. He never would’ve locked Thor up or even entertained the thought about executing him if he was in Loki’s position. But I also don’t think Odin would’ve actually done it, it was all manipulation to try and make Loki realise ‘the gravity of his crimes’.

But yeah, fuck that old man and I hope he gets taken to the TVA and sees just how amazing Loki is when given the chance.

Honestly I love this take so much, I feel like there's so much more to Odin than 'he's just evil' because if he truly was, I feel like he'd have manipulated Loki into staying close by giving him scraps of affection purposefully to keep him like a stray dog always hanging around, desperately hoping for a little more and I'm so tempted to write this as an actual fic one day now
