@lost-my-soup
I hate the "early-transition trans women are always wearing amazon basics skirts" stereotype so much lol
-she shops online instead of going to real stores, lol what a neet basement dweller
-she buys from amazon, she both has no sense of personal style and is an unethical consumer giving money to bezos
-she is sticking to basic, stock standard, stereotypical presentation of femininity, lol isn't it funny that she's taking careful baby steps and doesn't feel comfortable branching out?
it's the amazon that really does it in for me. when cis women wear basic clothing it's the "clean girl" aesthetic, when trans women do it it's shallow, consumerist, mass-produced, "basic" in all the wrong ways. "clean girls" don't get made fun of for having walmart-ass wardrobes do they?
a cis woman's choices about her wardrobe are always conscious, intentional, well-considered. a trans woman's are unthinking, dumb, she just grabs the first thing she sees
honestly I think I lost a lot of faith in humanity when hogwarts legacy happened. thousands of people heard "jkr is transphobic" and didn't think that was enough reason to not buy a mediocre videogame and it became a runaway success. it was such a basic show of decency and it was too much. return the shopping cart ass dilemma. I'm a misanthrope now
has anyone noticed that sometimes you take incorrect or undesirable actions instead of the correct and desirable ones? what's up with that

To Belong -- A zorua TF comic by Velvaite
This comic moved me to tears last night and the artist graciously granted me permission to crosspost it here ;w;

Curses you to only get into niche shit nobody else cares about.
C'mon
You are 60% water and every lake, river, pond, swamp, creek, and ocean you encounter wants to reclaim it desperately. Be careful out there.
Good, I hope it haunts everyone about to enter a body of water so bad that they wear a life jacket. 🙌
Every single person I knew (past tense) who has drowned was "a strong swimmer." Water in the wild does not care how good you are at swimming.
I mean this with all due respect:
You are not going to pass a skillcheck against a rip current once it has you.
Waves will not bow to your physical prowess no matter how impressive.
Shock does not care that you used to be on your school swim team.
If you hit your head, being good at swimming isn't going to turn you face-up while you're unconscious.
You may be unable to return to shore. Rescue may be unable to find you quickly.
Scheduling this for when weather starts warming up. Be careful swimming this summer

like to charge, reblog to cast.
OP must've been cozy in bed with her plushies when she made this post
Okay, I was just going to reblog this without commentary, but I can't keep this to myself. I'm a PhD student in environmental science and this is my fucking highway.
The first published study about climate change (that I am aware of-- feel free to point out if there's an older one) is an 1896 paper by Svante Arrhenius. He pointed out the link between the greenhouse effect and changes in atmospheric CO2.
Plate tectonics, which the geoscience community now recognizes as near indisputable, was a fringe theory until about the 1960s.
Just in case anyone thought that climate change was a "recent fad" in research.
