Law cleared his throat. “So. What do you have for me?”
“Well.” Luffy peered up at him innocently, a slight blush on his cheeks. “I know you said you didn’t want anything, but.” The next moment, he produced a flower from behind his back and presented it to him, its innate light casting a warm glow over his face. “It’s not much, but it made me think of you even before I learned what it was, so… yeah.”
“Queen of the Night, huh,” Law murmured, rather more mesmerized by the way Luffy’s eyes twinkled, the effect exacerbated by the bioluminescent flower. “The medicinal flower.”
Luffy bit his lip. “Yeah. But it’s also pretty, like you.” His gaze softened along with his voice, and his lips curved into an affectionate smile. “Happy birthday, Law.”
I love the thought of silly guy Luffy being shorter than fem!Law like...that's her short man!! He brings her food for her (and bepo, shachi, and penguin) during their long hospital shifts. He texts her all his thoughts and sends her videos of Onigiri at their apartment/house while she's working. He drops her off and picks her up. Just Luffy being the best husband for his surgeon wife

The ongoing "Egghead Arc" of the One Piece TV anime will be going on hiatus until April 2025.
The live-streamed "One Piece News #1" special confirmed that the television anime is changing what will air in its regular Sunday timeslot until March 2025 to "recharge." The Jump Festa 2025 event will announce more details on December 22, 2024.
The One Piece Fan Letter special will instead air on October 20, 2024, followed by a special edited version of the Fish-Man Island arc starting on October 27, 2024.
The special edited version will feature retouched art, detailing, color shading, lighting, and special effects to previously animated scenes, as well as a Dolby Atmos soundtrack.
A secret "special guest" will sing a new version of the "We Go!" opening theme song for the special edited version. BE:FIRST, a boy band whose members are all self-professed huge fans of One Piece, is contributing the ending theme song "Sailing."
One Piece Base, a smartphone app with a manga viewer and other content from the entire franchise, is launching on Sunday within Japan, and is slated for release outside Japan in 2025. Fans who scan bar codes from select One Piece merchandise into the web version of the app will receive points for unlocking chapters to read. The app's Nigaoe Maker (Portrait Maker) service will turn fans' facial photographs into art in the style of Oda.

Let me present to you (probably) every single moment in which Law was staring at Luffy and thought no one noticed:
More than I expected. I thought it would be like 3 or 4 times only haha.
Now what Luffy looks like in Law's eyes? Wonder no more, I did a compilation just for you! These are all the scenes in which Law looks at Luffy (be it openly or discreetly) and this is what he sees:
Those last ones are from the very end of Wano, he really allowed himself to stare. It's kinda like Law wanted to take the memory of it in his journey forward without Luffy... ffs.

There's some sense of odd distance in those few (around the time Luffy decided to punch Kaido at the beginning of Wano). It's kinda like Luffy is so far away from him, not even looking at Law anymore.
And below is how Law saw Luffy fight and his attacks. Boundman even has a Law commentary included lol. Those are mostly from Wano, because in Dressrosa they fight side by side or too far away from each other, so nothing to rediscover there.
Summarizing: he saw Luffy failing at least 9 times in battle, 3 times losing G4 and ending up immoblized, knocked out or fainted. He also attempted to save Luffy 3 times, and only one attempt failed. I mean, it kinda makes you stop wondering why Law worried over Luffy that much, right??
Since first impressions are important, this is Luffy from Law's pov in Sabaody:
Even if he wouldn't see the first scene, he would have heard the screams. And he was listening, because when they first talk, Law answers something that Luffy voices ;) "Admiral and battleships are coming", "they're already here".
I see that Luffy was trying to impress Law already in Sabaody haha. Also Law called him out on "bad finish" because Luffy turned into a child form. It was the very last time it happened, Luffy made sure of that and after post-timeskip he doesn't have this problem after a particularly strong gear attack... until we discover G4, that is, hahaha. Still enough of a proof that Luffy cared for Law's opinion there and got rid of one of his own weaknesses ;)
Damn, they were already staring at each other all the time in Sabaody. Curiosity from the first sight. Kid feels like such an extra standing between them smh.
