I don't have too much to say as I plan to move on. I am saddened the show seems to be taking a different turn as it relates to Buck and Tommy. A spark in me will still have hope, maybe one day. Until then, I just wanted to add this to the ethos and brand it in cyber stone...
Tommy will always be Bobby approved!
Tommy has always been special and connected to the 118 family. This is why the interactions in "Bobby Begin Again" makes it one of my favorite episodes. Tommy was there from day one, it meant something seeing him there among the others to help carry Bobby on his final journey. In a flashback, we saw Tommy save Bobby's life, his aid saved Eddie's life (plane water drop), he helped to save Bobby's life again (along with many others) and then, returned the favor to Chimney by helping to save his life in the lab.
All those things happened, they were not fanfic nor someone's head-canon, it all happened. And nothing will ever change that. In fact, S7xE9, no other love interest will ever receive that warm smile and the privilege of having Bobby's verbal approval when dating his mentoring-son, Buck.
Thank you Bobby. As a "day one" 911 fan and BuckTommy supporter, I will always remember what you genuinely said to Buck in that episode, "Tommy is good people, he's good for you".
yeah
if you leave this kind of comment on any fanfic writer’s work or if you think this shit is okay and isn’t the reason more and more writers are choosing not to share their works with your entitled ass for free anymore, you should be ashamed of yourself.
if you suspect a fic is ai and if that bothers you, quietly close the tap and leave the fic. no one forces you to stay.
Me, a petty bitch, watching Tracker: "Oh, he made a point to check in with her and make sure she's all right after a traumatic experience and noticing that her behaviour's been a bit off lately. How nice of him. How un-118 of him."
Saw this and couldn't resist. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This anon has no media literacy.
Okay, the whole conversation is framed with Eddie being referred to as "he/him," but then when Maddie is talking about getting "someone's attention", changing the term to "them/their" to avoid being read solely as Eddie is intentional. Otherwise, she would have simply said "his attention." All of this, as confirmed by the writer, was to create surprise because Buck still hasn't realized that "trying to get someone's attention" isn't just jealousy of a friend, as in the example Maddie gives. She compares her friendship with Sarah B. + the jealousy of the other Sarah to the friendship between Buck, Eddie, and now Tommy. The surprise effect for both Tommy and Buck, happens because when Buck is confronted with Tommy coming to talk specifically to him, and thus gaining Tommy's attention, Buck finally realizes the extent of his efforts to get Tommy's attention, not Eddie's. Then the kiss seals that this was due to feelings stronger than jealousy of friendship.
It's a similar effect to that kitchen conversation between Buck and Maddie at the end of 8x11. Once again, the conflict revolves around the relationship between Tommy, Buck, and Eddie, and when Buck says he "should call HIM," Maddie, like that anon, assumes that "him" refers to Eddie, but once again Buck's thoughts, and his unresolved feelings, are related to Tommy. And this time it's even clearer. In both situations, Buck can't stop thinking about Tommy, not Eddie.
Exactly this!
I wasn't about to go point by point with their long ass ask when there are quotes by the showrunner and the actor debunking their argument for me.
I just don't get how these people aren't embarrassed still making these claims. Like say what you want about BuckTommy being over or if it'll continue (who knows, who cares) but continuing to try and make that relationship about Buddie when three seasons later they're STILL not canon?
If Tommy was a stepping stone to Buddie, then why is Tommy gone and Eddie is still straight lmaoo
Give it up y'all
“Unfind that family” because Theo can’t stand most of the 118
He doenst like their well wishes that sound fake,
the way they whisper to Buck when they think Theo can’t hear,
he doesn’t like their high pitch voices like he’s a baby,
he doesn’t like how they look at him when he runs around or have fun,
he doesn’t like how Buck is sad when he spend time with them and comes back home all sad and gloomy
He just doesn’t like them
He doesn’t mind Chris or Ravi or May or Athena tho
And he’s very curious about the man they met at the grocery store, Buck was sad after meeting him but not in the way he gets when he visit “aunt” Maddie and “oncle” Chim and he thinks Buck even cried that night, so he doesn’t know if he likes the man yet or not but Buck looked happy seeing him at the store so…
He'd been to gay bars before, both on purpose and accidentally. This one was an accident. It looked perfectly normal from the outside. Maybe there was stuff on the walls to indicate what kind of establishment it was, but the light was too low to see. The other patrons were dressed – maybe an excess of leather jackets, but again, the light was low.
It was his second bar of the night. The first one wasn't a vibe at all. Buck was having a nice time, sitting by himself and people watching. When the lack of women started to sink in, it was already too late.
A very handsome older man approached his table and started talking. Buck liked to talk, so that was fine. But then came another. And another. Soon his table was crowded and he wasn't sure who was talking to who. It got overstimulating very fast.
Right before he started to panic, he felt hands on his shoulders. ”Give the kid some air, yeah?” The whole table erupted, but the guy at his back stood firm. Before he knew what was happening, the guy had him by the armpits and pulled him to his feet.
does anyone else remember how lived-in buck’s loft was in masks. the candles the tiny pumpkins the tchotchkes the coat rack/bench by the door instead of the bicycle the blue blanket the boyfriend making avocado toast

Why did Oliver hear "bts" and immediately jump to BuckTommy Scene"?
I'm chronically in BuckTommy spaces and that's not where my head immediately goes.
I do think this proves that Oliver is lurking much deeper in fandom spaces than he lets on.
And bringing BuckTommy up mostly unprompted...I do think he's itching to talk about that storyline, probably so he can say Buck's bisexual again, since the show won't allow him to say it.
I do think he loved the storyline and his answers in season 7, about wanting to follow Tarlos' path, are what he really thinks.
The hiatus, and all the hate Lou got, was probably the reason he saw a breakup coming....because Buddies always make love interests disappear.
He could've done something to stop it, but... he's a bit of a wuss when faced with that fandom.
