Subtle ways to be your little self if you have company, are out, or in public setting

If you’re ever with people who have no idea you’re a little, of any sort, or are uncomfortable showing your little side and you happen to regress or are feeling little, there are a few ways to be little without it being obvious

✨If you’re out to eat, get something off the kids menu and if anyone asks, say you’re not hungry enough for a full meal or you don’t think you can finish a whole meal

✨But what if you’re really hungry? Ask for a more “little” drink. I always ask for some sort of juice or lemonade, it appeases me but it’s not too obvious

✨Whem you’re getting dressed, put on a pair of cute socks! They’ll keep you warm and let you still have that small feeling

✨Or dress in your favorite little colors

✨Try soft clothing that may remind you of your onesie,blankie,stuffies ect. Ex. I have a super soft sweater that makes me think of my blankie I use when I regress and it always makes me feel content!

✨Put your hair up real cute! You’ll get lots of compliments and still feel little

✨If you’re in college, you can literally bring a stuffed animal to class. They may say it’s cute or ask why you have it but no one will judge! There are plenty of excuses as to why you have it if you’re not comfortable with just saying you felt like it

✨If you’re in a group gathering and there’s more “kid friendly” snacks, grab a little bowl of those. Barely anyone comments on it and if someone does, you can tell them they’ve been your favorite since you were little (hehe) Or that’s what you felt like getting

✨If it’s acceptable, wear a full onesie like footie pajamas! If you’re going to a friends for a movie, that’s perfectly acceptable! Or if you’re spending the night!

✨Wear a plain onsie with a skirt or jeans over it!

✨I found that water bottles you have to suck on to get water give me the sippy feeling while being very discrete OR Mason Jars with with special screw on caps!

✨If you’re with your caregiver/daddy/mommy/etc. hold their hand or hold on to their sleeve or jacket. Stand behind them (or just slightly behind if you’re in a conversation) when they’re ordering or buying or talking, hold their arm too!

✨Little activities that aren’t suspicious such as: Using chalk in the summer, going to the park, Painting, Drawing, Coloring “big” coloring books, Arts and crafts, Fun bakes like cookies or cakes you can do with your caregiver or friend!

✨If you’re out shopping, go through the kid’s section, say you’re looking for a friend’s kid/neighbor/niece/nephew/son/daughter/cousin/etc.

✨Suckers or Lollipops! Popsickles!

✨If there’s an ice cream truck, get ice cream from there

✨The zoo!

✨I have colorful post-it notes with reminders on them that I make into shapes on my door! This way, it looks very cute but still has a purpose

✨Have someone do your hair for you

✨If you’re in public with your caregiver, have them open stuff for you

✨I personally really like it when my Daddy orders food for me, If you’re with friends or family, have your caregiver decide with or for you! Or have them order for you! No one minds but if you feel like you have to be discrete simply say you can’t decide

There are tons of others too! Just cause youre in public doesn’t mean you can’t have little things.

LITTLE SPACE HELP-ADULTING

ive seen lots of post about littles who don’t know how to adult when their caregiver isn’t there. this makes me very sad. Sooo i’m making a list of thing you can do to help you “adult”

1) create a schedule. make a list of things you need for each day of the week. you could put it in you phone, get a wall calendar or make a weekly calendar for your wall. this could include bath days, laundry day, clean bedroom, any chore, shopping for food, etc (apps like chore monster help with this too!)

2) create a reward chart. this can be done way you want. for every chore accomplished you get, for example, sticker or check mark. after so many stickers or check marks you get a reward. the reward can be anything from candy to movie night or a new stuffie. 20 stickers=small reward, 30 stickers=medium. 40 stickers=large (# of stickers is up to you!!)

3) little space activities. audio books (from a library or online)

4) make an emergency (little space) kit. in this kit can be anything you want. a spare pacifier (in case one gets lost), non-perishable snacks( baby food, etc), extra box of crayons, ban-aids (ouchies happen), mini flashlight (in case of bye bye lights) are some possibilities.

5) plan ahead for food.sometimes little space hits us randomly. microwavable meals, easy to cook items (mac and cheese, dino nuggets), make meals when you are “adult” (pintrest has good ideas) to reheat, buy lots of fruits and healthy snacks (crackers, cheese, yogurt, juice and milk boxes, etc). also keeping cute snack containers help too!

6) take care of your mental health. this is the most important one for me. EVERY PERSON IS DIFFERENT AND WILL HAVE DIFFERENT COPING STRATEGIES. reaching out to someone, writing what your feeling, sketching, stim toys/jewellery, music, apps for different mental health issues (used for tracking, relaxation, providing advice, etc [look in app store]), and anything that works for you.

Growing up my parents taught me that if you’re too sick to [insert responsibility here] then you’re too sick to [insert something that makes you happy here].

It took me a really long time to unlearn this. When I would get sick or have a “bad day” I would deprive myself of anything that made me happy. Watching movies, eating something I enjoyed, going for a walk, playing video games or just browsing online looking at funny cat videos. I wouldn’t let myself do these things because I was always told that if I’m too sick to go to work, or do homework, or go to school then I must be too sick to play Mortal Kombat or watch Unsolved Mysteries lol.

Whenever I wouldn’t feel good, which I later learned as an adult was due to sleep deprivation caused by my ADHD and depression (and of course the depression itself would cause me to feel like shit), my parents would tell me “if you’re not throwing up, then you’re not sick.” And when I would stay home from school (or even work in my later teen years) my parents would make sure that I didn’t have any “fun.” No TV, no movies, no games, no going outside, no arts and crafts, no books, no nothing. Just lay in bed and feel miserable.

I’m happy to say that I no longer do this to myself. Now when I’m having a bad day or I’m sick (cold, flu or whatever) I allow myself to do the things (within reason lol) that I actually love doing. If I’m not too sick to step outside for a few minutes then I’ll go for a walk. I’ll watch my favorite movies and if it’s a bad day or a cold (something that doesn’t hinder my appetite too much) I’ll eat my favorite foods. I don’t guilt trip myself anymore for having a “sick day.”

Just because you’re sick (whether physically, emotionally or mentally) doesn’t mean that you can’t do things you enjoy. You’re not any less sick because you watch TV. You’re not any less sick because you’re playing video games. 

Actually you SHOULD be doing these things when you’re not feeling good because they make you feel better. The better you feel, the faster your heal.

Ways to make your life easier

Something I’ve been struggling with has been physically taking care of myself. As I (technically) live alone and have no caregiver I’ve found it extremely challenging to do so especially on my bad days.

I’m gonna compile a list of items that make my life a little easier as well as collect other’s suggestions

🛁 Personal care:

Baby wipes (for hygiene cleaning when showering is too hard)

Deorderant

Face wipes (to clean face or remove makeup when you don’t have energy for a skin care routine)

Dry shampoo (seriously showers are hard!)

Gum/mints (not easy to remember to brush teeth before appointments)

🍽 Nutrition:

Salad mix (easy meal; I add cheese, dressing and shredded meat)

Canned food (no prep)

Baby food

Sandwich ingredients ( I’d live if sandwiches if I could)

Meal replacement (sometimes eating is hard too)

Pre-cut fruit and veg

Frozen fruit and veg (smoothies; veg won’t go bad)

Electric can open ( I HAVE NO MUSCLES)

Water bottle (keep one by bed and in main living space) could also use baby bottle 😉

Snack foods (cheese string, crackers, apple sauce, granola bar, etc)

Multi-vitamin or vitamin for what your missing (for me it’s calcium)

📝 Chores:

Laundry pods (less to worry about)

Chore lists

Reward chart

Gentle or natural cleaners (harsh chemicals dry out your skin)

Music

Timer (eg: work for 5 min, break for 5 min)

Heated blanket or stuffed animal

Building Your Little Kit

Little kits are very important for age regression! They hold everything a little needs, like toys and stuffies! However, you don’t need these things to age regress, nor are you less of a Little if you don’t have these items. They’re just recommendations :)

Hey! So I recently realized i have a diaper and age play kink, but i dont have an significant other or play partner. What are some tips you have for putting a diaper on yourself, kinds of diapers for newbies, discreet play items, etc for a new little. Also, do you know anywhere that I can go to find a caretaker/mommy/daddy? I have a lot of kinks, but this is one that I'd really like to explore. I love how open the tree of you are and it makes me feel comfy with exploring myself. Much love.

So many questions in one!

Honestly, any ABDL diaper works fine for a newbie. I’d avoid anything store-bought from a drugstore (like Depends, Assurance, etc.) because they won’t hold up. Most ABDL diaper websites sell samples, so pick up a sample pack to ensure it fits your body and then invest in more.

Here’s some quick ideas on self-ABDL play:-Lay out a diaper and clothing in your house before you head to work. When you get home, you’ll be wearing them - just like a caregiver would lay out for you.-Pick a specific time and choose to stay in diapers until that time hits. -Make sure you stay in the diaper until that time by taping yourself into it with packaging tape. The only way out will be to cut yourself out with safety shears.-To get more hardcore about it, invest in some locking items. A locking safe, a locking diaper cover, etc. Lock up your “release” (key, scissors, etc.), and you won’t be able to have a change - just like waiting for a caregiver to give you one. -Fun littles activities that are really discreet: coloring books (especially adult coloring books), watching children’s TV shows or movies, cuddling with blankets, cuddling with stuffed animals, cooking dinners/desserts typically “meant” for kids, doing holiday/kids crafts off Pinterest or from the store, baths with bubble bath, bathtub toys/crayons/colored shampoos and bodywash.-There are diaper dares out there on various websites if you want to try those.-If you’re open to it, here’s where I mention that the highest support tier on our SubscribeStar includes personalized online playtime and caregiving with me. Just in case you want to go that route.

As for meeting a caregiver, honestly, it’s not easy. There are a lot more littles out there (it seems) than caregivers, so it’s going to take a bit of patience and time. I’d really recommend your local ABDL community - or heading to a large ABDL national event if you can take the time to. (Capcon, Teddycon, West Coast Jungle Gym if you’re in the US). When online, Tumblr, diaper forum websites, and Fetlife seem to be the way to go.

Whatever you do, please don’t treat any potential caregiver as your personal caregiver unless you both consent to it. It scares a lot of caregivers off when the two of you are still strangers. It’s very jarring to have another human being randomly come up to you and decide that you’re now their “Mommy” with no other discussion involved. Instead, get to know someone and enjoy them as a person, and if the two of you click, you’re going to have a *much* stronger bond than if you’d tried something right off the bat. :)

💥 Positive Punishment ~ Adding a negative consequence after undesirable behavior. (Like: spankings, writing lines, or time outs.)

Reinforcement increases behavior

🌟 Positive Reinforcement ~ Adding something pleasant to reward desired behavior. (Like: stickers, treats, praises, extra cuddles.)

Here, “positive” and “negative” don’t mean good or bad. They mean adding or removing stimulus.

quick protip: if someone is crying or freaking out over something minor, eg wifi not connecting, can’t find their hat, people talking too loud, do NOT tell them how small or petty the problem is to make it better. they know. they would probably love to calm down. you are doing the furthest possible thing from helping. people don’t have to earn expressions of feelings.

Flopping

In littlespace, your little will do some very strange things to show their emotions. Flopping, is one of the strangest. Flopping is the act of falling or collapsing face first into the floor, bed, etc. It can mean a variety of things when you catch your little flopping. If flopping occurs during or after a fight, or when your little has been told “no”, it is the infamous silent tantrum. Your little is pouting and refuses to look at you until you’ve made it up to them. More than likely, your little will not move until you say sorry and give them a cookie. If the flop occurs while you’re busy, your little wants attention. Badly. Normally, flopping in this case will mean that you ignored, or didn’t notice their previous attempts to get your attention. The flop is the final attempt before crying. It is your last warning before all hell breaks loose. If flopping occurs seemingly at random, or after a long day of adult stuff, the world is crashing down on your little’s shoulders. Your little is at their limit and needs care desperately. This is when you need to be the best you can for them. Make them some macaroni and give them a long warm bath. Make sure you have them drink lots of water or gatorade, and get them to sleep. Flops are easily cured, and actually adorable. I hope this helps any new caregivers!

Of course we were all like, “Oh yeah we’re dead inside, you haven’t noticed?”

And he snapped shut the textbook, threw up his hands and said, “That’s not healthy! No more vocab! Time for dancing!”

And he taught us a dance from Iraq and we danced instead of doing vocab. We didn’t stop dancing until he saw all of us laughing and was satisfied that we were all feeling better. It was perhaps the coolest, most kind-hearted thing I’ve ever seen a college instructor do.

Are you a smoky little who is sick of taking their paci out to take a hit?

This is the puff puff paci. To use it you unscrew the cap, fill it with your tobacco (or whatever), screw the cap back on, and enjoy!

The puff puff holds about 2 grams.

Each puff puff comes with a screen, the mouth pieces are silicone and slide off the bowl for easy sanitation!

There are two ways to clean the bowl itself. Some puffs can be easily removed once the front of the bowls unscrewed some fit a bit tighter and can be easily cleaned with a cotton swab!

💞meals

meal plans: give your little a couple options for what they can eat!

portions: give half portions, but more diversity in foods!

textures: find out what textures your little likes! ex: mashed potatos vs celery sticks

shapes: some littles will be more willing to eat healthy is the food is fun! dinosaur shapes, faces, animals etc!

💙speech

calm: make sure your little feels safe. don’t raise your voice, or speak loudly. many regressors have anxiety with loud voices!

assertive: littles need structure! let them know you know what’s best for them without being harsh!

playful: when your little is playful, use cute voices to mime their toys!

consent: ALWAYS make sure you have verbal consent before making decisions for them!

💞body language

hands: be careful not to squeeze or grab your little! this is threatening and can trigger them!

face: relax your face muscles! furrowed brows or angry face can be scary! make sure you look relaxed and make them feel safe

conversation: make your little feel engaged. talk with them, not at them! your little may feel silly if you don’t look interested!

understanding: remember any triggers that may bother your little! ex: raising your hand, pretending to hit them etc.. these can be very manipulative and upsetting

💙bedtime

insomnia: many littles struggle with insomnia or other sleeping issues! make sure they have their medicines!

comfort item: sleeping with a comfort item definitely helps good sleep! DO NOT take away this item as punishment!!!!

pajamas: cute comfy pajamas will help your little regress, and become sleepy! make aure they are comfortable before going to sleep! discomfort can cause bad dreams

night light: sometimes the dark can be scary! think about getting a night light, or a glow bear for your little!
