Yoshiya "Joshua" Kiryu would introduce himself to Light bold as brass and then proceed to steer the conversation into philosophy. Light, obviously unerved by him, goes home and writes his name in the death note. No death is reported. I bet he sees Josh on the bus like a week later and Josh just gives a little annoying twink smile and wave.

The real question is how to get Joshua to care that someone is going around killing thousands of people.
