My particular brand of neurodivergence is a massive struggle with executive disfunction regarding starting the thing I need to do. If I can get 1-2 steps into a thing that's usually enough momentum to finish it.

So, usually I have to build up a mental "fuck it we ball" feeling that works for me when it reaches critical mass. But equally good (no lie) is @samreich in my head saying "...and the only way to begin is by beginning. So without further ado, let's begin."

one subtle detail in the book that i absolutely love is that the Hail Mary crew's names are written in their native language instead of being Americanized or transliterated. Grace is written as "Grace", Yáo is written "姚" and Ilyukhina as "Илюхина".

Its such an insignificant detail but i think makes the crew feel more diversified and also respects their cultural identity.

Mentioned to my mom I'm asexual a couple months ago and today.... we got into the car and she hit me with, "So you use they/them pronouns now?"

I went, "What. no. she/her."

"How does that work? With she/her/hers and they/them?"

I stared at her. "What are you talking about?"

"Well you came out as-" and I said, "I'm asexual."

She replied, "Like an amoeba, I know."

"Oh. My god. No. Mom. It doesn't- it's not the asexual you learned about in biology. I didn't come out as a single celled organism."

2) Many vapes contain diacetyl, which, when inhaled causes popcorn lung, or scarring of the lung

3) Ultrafine particles, when being inhaled, can be lodged in the trachea (not good!)

4) Ultrafine particles can also constrict the arteries in the lungs potentially causing A HEART ATTACK

5) Vaping is relatively new. Not much studies have been done in comparison to tobacco. Plus, the vaping companies are powerful people. There is a large chance that they are purposely downplaying and even burying any evidence that vaping is harmful - just like the tobacco companies before them. They do not care about you, or your health, or the truth. They only care for money
