i don't think "puppet on a string" is the right term, really. it's more of a willing descent.

Finally finished this after many delays.
I was inspired to do a painting based on the pando aspen grove post that's been floating around recently.
I've also included the initial sketch I did for the character.

Because it's the kind of person I am, I made a card for my FFXIV character.
As my top two classes are Dragoon and Dark Knight, I went for those as the basis for each side, and since you normally can't change class while in combat, the only way to switch Myriam is to leave the battlefield and cast the other side.
The Dragoon side gets activated abilities because DPS is aggressive, with the first activated ability attempting to reflect how AOE attacks deal less damage than single-target ones.
The Dark Knight side has triggered abilities because Tanks are meant to catch attacks and reduce the harm, with Dark Knight in particular being a rather more aggressive Tank. The return ability on this side is triggered by creature death because it either means you've defeated your foe and can move on, or you've failed to protect your allies and want to change tactics.
I'm also considering making a Planeswalker card for them, but that will probably wait until I'm all caught up on the MSQs, since I'm currently in Post-Stormblood.
