Destique haters can suck it. Claremont always intended for them to be Kurt’s moms. Also the retcon makes for more interesting dynamics and it highlights the tragic relationships between Mystique, Destiny, and Kurt.

Been thinking about the X-Men lately, so here’s some headcannons (mostly the Darkholmes)

After finding out they were siblings, Rouge and Kurt came to an unspoken agreement to share their stuff with each other

This mostly goes without issue except for when Kurt borrows her hoodies and forgets to lint roll them

Mystique didn’t approve of Remy at first, and she felt vindicated when he disappeared right before her and Destiny’s wedding, but she forgave him when he turned up 10 minutes before the ceremony with childhood photos of Kurt during his time with the circus

Logan doesn’t remember his birthday, but he celebrates it on the anniversary of his joining the X-Men

The Institute hosts Pride events for the Westchester community every year

I don’t particularly like writing sexual assault. Yea that was the basis of my most popular fanfic but I hated writing it

Reading wise I don’t like the words “gummy walls” It makes me uncomfortable. I’m a little better at seeing the word “cock” when at fist it felt so nasty reading it.

Don’t get me wrong I love nasty, but there’s a limit.

God I hope I don’t sound like a puritan

I don’t know why we continue to be shocked by the fact Kurt’s as much of a blunt for the X-Mansion as Logan is, I mean, his mother is Mystique - notoriously non-monogamous with a new person every five minutes Mystique, and her wife Irene who enables her in her escapades.

According to Rogue; Destiny & Mystique are the OG: Be Gay & Do Crimes,

Kurt might be Mystique’s favourite child (sorry Rogue & Graydon),

Chris Claremont tried to make their relationship as obvious as possible when Marvel was still using the comic’s code,

Both Ben Grimm & Mystique are married to blind women,

Mystique and Destiny have never had a normal love,

Destiny was already in love Mystique before they met,

I love Destiny’s wedding dress,

According to Rogue, Gambit is quite the romantic,

Gambit doesn’t know what a boutonniere is.
