Part Six - Proposal and New Arrival!!
The first day of my third trimester was really rough. I had to go to work with a backache, AND I didn’t get a lunch break. The hospital was packed with sick patients, making me not only worry about my health, but the BABY’S health as well. Getting sick while you’re pregnant can be dangerous for both mother AND child.
I still managed to keep myself in good spirits, though. I talked to a few of the patients and made them laugh, and a few of them even asked me about my baby! I told them that Tyler and I had decided to keep the gender a surprise until delivery day.
Of course, there were a few patients (like this one) who tried to resist treatment, but I still managed to get the job done.
And then there were patients with...unusual...ailments. I had to assure them that nothing was wrong...but even I didn’t know.
The rest of the day was uneventful, just a few cases of the llama flu and some gas and giggles, but that was it.
Once I got home, I felt pretty good, so I washed my hands and made some dinner for Tyler and I. We enjoyed it, and he told me about his promotion.
He also picked up singing, apparently...
The next day, I took the day off. My back was killing me, and I didn’t want to risk getting sick. Tyler started our day off by talking to our baby and making silly faces at my belly. It was the cutest thing!
After he left for work, I got some things done around the house and even did a little painting.
My friends showed up about an hour later for an impromptu girl’s day at my house. (Maya had a fashion FAIL) Samaya was so excited to learn that my due date is close. I let her feel the baby kick, and she introduced herself as the baby’s aunt.
Maya was also super excited, and she gave the baby the same treatment. She took it upon herself to decorate the nursery.
Maya: “But purple IS a gender-neutral color! It’s okay for boys to have purple stuff, my brother LOVES purple and he’s amazing!
Me: “Maya...your brother is also the gayest man on the planet.”
After all that, Samaya went downstairs and decided to put my Karaoke machine to use. Even though it sounded pretty bad, Maya and I still supported her. I hope my face didn’t betray my true feelings...LOL.
Tyler got home from work early and put a stop to our girl’s day pretty quickly when he walked in and heard Samaya’s horrible singing. XD Is it bad to say that I’m kind of grateful...? (LOL, look at her FACE XD)
I took a nap after getting full; today wore me out.
Later that day, closer to seven-thirty, Tyler took me over by the creek and proceeded to tell me how much he loves me and how much he already loves our little one. He said that he’s prepared to follow me anywhere...
Tyler: *gets down on one knee*
Tyler: “Luna...will you make me the happiest man on earth and become Mrs. Jones...?”
Needless to say...I said yes.
Holy crap: IT’S GO TIME!!
Look at Tyler’s face...poor thing XD
Everyone...meet Stella Grace <3
There’s nothing better than holding your little one right after you give birth. I’m already in love. <3
