No on told me that when I got a menstrual cup I would slowly become obsessed with it: learning all the folds, ways to clean, etc etc.
And I’ve learned so much about my inner lady bits. It’s fantastic. If you’ve ever considered switching to a menstrual cup, I suggest you give it a try.
I’ve ordered mine but it’s not come yet (thanks @lunettecup !) but I’m ALREADY obsessed. Watched so many reviews, tips and hacks videos, have planned the folds I think will work best, have literally made my boyfriend so sick and tired of me because all I wanna talk about is how incredible the human body is, and how much I love cups!
Genuinely would recommend it so much! I didn’t realise how little I knew about my own body until now!
Only 5 percent of women have the type of body we see on billboards and in TV commercials. The "Expose" project wants you to see the remaining 95 percent. (Some images below may be considered NSFW.) Blogger and activist Jes Bak...
What made you want to switch to a menstrual cup? Was it the convenience (it was for me), or was it the fact that you’d be saving so much money? Maybe it was the health benefits or the eco-friendly factor that pushed you to make the switch. Whatever the reason, trash-free periods are possible and SO much better for everyone, including the planet. Not only are there menstrual cups, but we’re also giving kudos to those who use reusable cloth pads and period-proof underwear. The options we have today have come a long way since our grandparents’ day!

I never thought that the image of a stained pair of ordinary underwear lying unceremoniously on my teenage room floor would remained burned in my memory for almost a decade. In the field of psychology, that kind of mental image is called a flashbulb memory – a vivid, if not incomplete, image that remains like a snapshot in your mind. Kind of like the blinding flash of a camera irreparably tattooing a memory onto your brain - a scar if you will. In the case of my first period, it was a memory that would change my life forever.

We chatted with Oona about periods, pole dancing, and the nasty menstrual taboo that surrounds athletes (...and every person that menstruates).
Every month, menstruating humans all over the world experience different symptoms during their menstrual cycle. From abdominal and lower back pain, to headaches, bloating, and breakouts, it’s safe to say having a period can be uncomfortable at times. But are you experiencing all these pains to the point where you can’t get out of bed, have an abnormally heavy period, and everything hurts way more than it should? These severe pains might be a sign of endometriosis, and we’ve decided to shed some light on this for the sake of all menstruators!
According to the 2017 Annual Homeless Assessment Report to Congress of the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development, it was estimated that 39 percent (215,709 people) were women experiencing homelessness. A little under 61 percent were men, and less than 1 percent identified as either transgender or non-binary.
HOW MENSTRUATORS ON THE STREETS DEAL WITH THEIR PERIOD
"If a guy wants me to wear less makeup all he gotta do is ask and imma say no."
Recently we’ve been shedding some light on why periods are powerful in society, not just in developing countries but right on our front door step too. From #PeriodPoverty, to girls missing out on school and even period shaming through the media (ugh, not cool!) we’ve still got a long way to go for menstruation equality! That’s why we’re all about the #PeriodPower this year.
