just to give context to y’all: this line is from campaign 1 of Not Another DND podcast. It was said to one of the player characters, Beverly, who’s a teen halfling boy scout paladin (yes really). They just finished up this campaign and it honestly took my breath away! highly recommend for anyone looking for a funny podcast that isn’t afraid to also get introspective.

also stop discounting intersex people’s cisness and transness. an intersex person who is trans is not “less trans.” an intersex person who is cis is not “less cis.” trans intersex people cannot be assigned “"cis privilege.”“ cis intersex people cannot be assigned “trans oppression.” transphobia and intersexism have many traits in common, but they are not the same.

also, intersex ppl are not inherently LGBT, as oppressed as we may be. Saying that intersex people are inherently LGBT is both intersexist and LGBTphobic.

It’s about white people, even well-intentioned white allies, being too comfortable in their privilege and not learn more about the complex beliefs of civil right leader MLK Jr other than his “I have a dream” speech. MLK Jr. talked extensively about American Imperialism, Capitalism, and White Fragility/Complicity throughout his career and activism, which most Liberal white allies won’t share because they’re too comfortable with the white lies they were taught in schools.
