Sorry it took longer than expected, but as I mentioned in my birthday post back in March, I'm finally ready to reveal the big SxF project I've been working on for the past half a year or so: my first fanfic, titled "A Spy's Respite" 🙂

The talented @buf309-art-binder has been gracious enough to provide illustrations for my fic, including the cover art on this post, as well as a few comic pages that I'll show later on.

I've never been much of a fanfic writer or reader (essay and analysis writing is more of my thing), but occasionally I get motivation to write out stories and scenarios from my head, especially for things I'm really passionate about, like SxF! I've had many ideas for SxF stories over the years, but I decided to go with a relatively straightforward Twiyor "identity reveal" story for this fic.

To ensure Buf and I have enough time to finish working on our parts, I'm going to release the three acts of the fic with a few months in between (my regular posts will continue throughout). As of now, the tentative timeline is...

The releases might happen a bit sooner or later depending on how busy we get, but my goal is to have the complete story released before the end of the year. I plan to post the first release, (which includes the preface, prologue, and act 1) sometime in late July/early August. When that happens, I'll make another announcement post here on Tumblr, with links to read it on Ao3 and Fanfiction.net.

SxF Chapter 136

What if this is the start of a potential identity reveal? Hear me out.

So 2 weeks ago I was thinking that if Twilight went ahead with trying to tranq Yor it would obviously fail and he'd put all the blame on Franky. So my thoughts were that if Twilight starts blaming Franky (or cutting his funding as we saw in today's chapter), what if Franky gets so upset by this, and he cares a lot about his money, that he'll start trying to prove his invention DOES work. Which leads him to investigate why it didn't work on Yor. He's also the one who knows and believes in the existence of Garden so he's already one step ahead of everyone. I can genuinely see Franky being the first one to find out and this seems like a good segway for that.

To me this moment feels like a good opportunity to start heading in the direction of an identity reveal. What do you think?

Some Twiyor Rambling into the Void

Seen quite a few people being against Yor and Loid's first kiss being a fake one on camera but instead wanting jealous Loid.

Maybe a hot take but I think a fake kiss would be 100x more beneficial for their relationship and for Loid realizing his feelings then Jealous Loid ever will be.

I'm even in the camp where I want their first kiss to be a genuine one but I think with where Yor's mind is at about acting the part, etc. A fake kiss might just have to happen between them.

Jealous Loid is fine and fun when the relationship gets established but I can't imagine it ever being the starting point of him realising his feelings like many want it to be.
