The fact of the matter is if the writers of DATV could not be bothered to be faithful to the lore of a 10+ year old series with a plethora of relatively coherent content and lore at their very disposal, nor even a shred of respect or acknowledge to the original creator of the entire series, then I shall not bother regarding Veilguard as being anything other than fan fiction that holds no weight on the canon. The excuse of a soft reboot falls flat because it jumps off the ending to Trespasser. I do not say this maliciously or out of spite, or because it was not like my favourite Dragon Age game, or how they portrayed this character or that character, it is simply because the writing in the game is abysmal and even contradicts itself. It is not even coherent in parts and the dialogue comes across as one who has never played a video game in their life.
