I think Caitlyn Jenner has done so much for the trans community and is really making tremendous strides to bring awareness and have so much respect for her going on national television to tell her story, but honestly, I hope people bring up all that Laverne Cox has accomplished for that community. She has been out there longer than Jenner promoting the issues of the trans commuting of a different tax bracket, fighting for health insurance coverage for their surgeries as a matter of life and death, not an 8 hour documentary series of her putting on make up and that’s only one example. This is how I view it, for some perspective, Laverne was the first trans woman on the cover of Time Magazine Caitlyn Jenner was on the cover of Vanity Fair
