The Duke and the people by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: Pub on a busy corner
Hope by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: We often grumble with fellow musicians of my ('boomer') generation that today's kids don't bother to play instruments and make 'real music', content to 'produce' on laptops from samples and loops (or rap over 'beats')... But each time I see an enthusiastic young band on a stage or in the street (this one's really good - recommended!) - I don't just enjoy the sight and the music, I realise that 'not everything is lost - yet'... ANd that makes me happy :)
White horse by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: Opposite the previous photo - more forms and shapes, of a different kind. The preserved façade of a 300-year old pub now hides modern offices, but is a fine example of historic London architecture, tucked in a backstreet aptly named 'Little Britain' (can't help remembering scenes from the eponymous cult TV show ;) ))
Constellation by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: I liked those golden lights like stars against a dark sky - until I realised they are actually shaped like coffee beans - brilliant! Even if only for this touch, Lavazza beats Nespresso for design of their flagship café-s, imho?
Cosmetic aesthetic - the role model by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: I think this celebrity triggered the massive trend of the last decade - whereby every (stupid) woman in the world went for Botox and fillers to achieve this look (and some men, too ;)
Temple by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: A temple of travel - many historic railway stations look like cathedrals, and at Liverpool street the similarity can be striking. If you ever raise your sight above the madness of concourse and platforms below...
Paparazzi - a series by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: Interesting sculptural group @theRoyalExchange, see them all... #theroyalexchange A closer look (paparazzi-style ;) using the phone's longer lenses -
Wagon & Horses pub, Twyford by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: Not 'mine' but always on my way home and often in the phone's idle lens... 'Artistically' abused in some fun with apps...
Crossing by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: On an 'intercontinental' voyage (literally!), looking back at the hills of Old Istanbul. (The original 7 hills of what was Constantinople - today's city has many more).
Many things by Vladimir Dimitroff
Fauna by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: Once bred to bring life and beauty to urban spaces, they had evolved into pests - 'the new rats' of big cities... But wonder of they are still there - in deserted streets and squares, with no humans to feed them in lockdowns that lasted too long...
Messing with apps by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: A random careless phone snap in a showroom can be lots of fun with editing apps in lockdown :) 1. Dreamini, 2. Minicool, 3. Minalog, 4. Minisco, 5. JusRedMini, 6. Minight Mosaic created with fd's Flickr Toys
Common by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: The field from where the previous 2 images were taken. Here without the pseudo-artistic abuse, as natural as it gets.
Playing by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: One way to make a 'nothing special' photo interesting is to paint it over - with real paint, or digitally with an app, tapping fingers on the screen till it becomes unrecognisable :) )) Tried with 2 brush sizes - this is the larger.

Up by Vladimir Dimitroff Via Flickr: My "other neighbourhood" :) On workdays I'd normally spend more time here than at home, when there were no lockdowns (does anyone remember such times?)... I miss the City, hope to be back there before too long.
