I can't believe I might try and write a percy jackson fic...

I wonder if Clarisse will feel obligated to save campers before they inevitably antagonize Percy in any way, shape, form, or fashion when Annabeth disappears, since she has firsthand knowledge of what he’s like when his Wise Girl is anything other than healthy, happy, and right beside him.

Because let’s be real, it’ll be easier to deal with them than to tell Percy to calm down. Hell, if she tried that he’d probably flood camp, and she doesn’t have time for that.

I think Thalia won’t have that problem because she is still suffering from hero worship, so people won’t approach her the same.

And let’s not get started about Thalia. Annabeth is her daughter (I know she’s her sister, but that’s Thalia’s daughter) and now she’s gone? The only person from pre-tree time that knew her, and treats her like a person?

And to top it off, the only other person who seems to be as pissed as her is the kid she can’t stop snapping at because he’s acting like he knows Annabeth better than she does. Her patience is thin on a good day, and this is not a good day.

They’re both so obviously more powerful than everyone else that I think, on an intrinsic level, they know they can’t really snap on anyone else as hard as they can on each other - and they’re both sick of each other’s shit.
