You know what Lucifer being anti sinner is actually like. What is it called when some one discriminates aginst ex convicts. Becuase obviously that intersects with many outher forms of discrimination that can cause someone to be more likely to be convicted but if watching pit bulls and parolee in my youth taught me anything it's that the way we treat ex cons is super fucked. It's the same concept with hell like you do something and you never get a chance to trun your life around. Which Lucifer untill this point belived this system to on some level be corect that you can judge someone for ever for there actions.

He sees sinners as bad because they have by nature of being sinners done bad before. That's how they got in hell by being bad.

I have this ridiculous headcanon that if Vox does get redeemed, Alastor would lose his marbles. Not immediately, but slowly descending to madness.

Alastor wouldn't die to save his friends but Vox would. It was hinted in the second season, if not for Vox's god complex and Alastor's manipulation tactics getting in the way, he would be capable of reaching towards Heaven.

The hints:

Vox getting the confirmation that even anyone, even a powerful sinner like him can be redeemed.

Vox's willingness to protect the other Vees.

Being capable of sacrificing himself. (If he hadn't gone on a violent rampage to destroy half of Hell including himself.)

If Redemption became Vox's obsession instead of appeasing Alastor, then Alastor would become gobsmacked that his 70-year-old situationship evaporated into nothing. Vox's redemption would be the interlude to inspire other sinners to Redemption.

Alastor would brush it off at first, but if someone like Mimzy wanted to get redeemed, then Husk gets redeemed at the risk of suffering the same fate as the overlords Alastor broadcasted to save someone (could be Niffty, Fat Nugget, Emily, etc.) and winds up in Heaven.

Then all Hell would break loose for Al:

Val wants redemption because Vox made an impact so great that he no longer finds joy in the shit he's in and would be fuckin' Florida his way ou.

Niffty gets redeemed.

Mimzy gets redeemed.

So Alastor would actually stopped smiling when he remembers Vox's words: AS LONG AS I WIPE THE SMILE OUT OF ALASTOR'S FUCKING FACE. I DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENS.

And the Hell Alastor knew gets cancelled.
