As I'm watching Spider Noir, I just can't help being disappointed there hasn't been a Goncharov reference even once. I can understand why, as it's akin to having a Star Wars or Star Trek reference in your sci-fi, but as such an important movie to the Mafia/Mob genre, an homage is the respectful thing to do, especially considering how many others are referenced. Still. Quite the enjoyable show, and I would definitely recommend it.

Gotta tell you guys something wild in the Chinese fan sphere

So some fanartist drew a “sexy” (read: booby) version of a (cartoon) character who is traditionally very non-sexualised. Fans of the character got mad about it because it’s kind of groundbreaking how that character is written and portrayed and this art totally ignores the entire point of the character. They demanded the art be deleted. In response to that other people said, well what the fanartist did may be distateful but they have every right to draw what they’re into. The two sides fight for days and each starts a harassment campaign and even report their “opponents’” accounts.

So far so typical. But things eventually come to a head and they decide that this will be settled by votes - not through a poll. Through donations to a children’s education charity via each side’s portal. Whoever can get the highest amount of donation wins.

And that is how this charity received over 1 million in donations in three days lol. Oh btw the “freedom of expression” side won by a landslide (960k to 40k)

My mom jokes that her, my abuela (when she was alive) and I are fed on hugs and physical touch, touch vampires she jokes. Going from first two years of HS where there was no touch maybe a rare hug or nudge-> to last two years of HS where I had friends who would have cuddle piles and so much touch I felt stuffed to the gills almost too overwhelmed with the feast-> to college where there’s hugs from certain friends depending on who is more touch oriented, so more balanced/technically even in comparison to the two extremes but even then I feel needier than normal people. No, not needy. Hungry.

I physically feel better when I am being hugged and touched and caressed otherwise I feel deep, DEEP hunger. I think about being held and touched all the time, I lean into touch, I hold on too tight, I lean on my mom’s arm when we are at a stop light in the car so maybe she will pet me or show me affection, people patting me on the back gives me the ick so does incorrect touch, sitting close with friends who don’t like hugs is like going on a roller coaster but being told by a friend who doesn’t like hugs that they like YOUR hugs and that they are the best hugs ever is like fucking crack, I miss the feeling of kisses on the lips so much that it feels like when I tried smoking a cigarette three different times and then understood on those winter night WHY people like smoking a cigarette cause I craved that warmth (mind you I had never liked cigarettes smoke smell my whole life but then it became a want/feels like my demisexual experience), I use a weighted blanket and a large body pillow and stuffed animals to make a nest because I wish someone would sleep next to me (and for other reasons but iykyk), I used to beg for cuddles in the summer though my mom would whine “it’s too hot for that!” and I just want someone to cuddle wether romantically or platonically all the time but nobody really accepts the way I want. No need. No starve for.
