Quiet loud header, isn't it?

Recently I've decided to set up a new goal - start new creative path and try to prove all haters from my family that you actually can provide for yourself with any art skills if you try hard enough.

Also I'll try to post more regularly here too, about all the fandoms I enjoy

Political and economical situation in my country is awful, pandemic is still going on and now I am also tested covid positive. So the only thing that keeps me going now is Bittersweet series…

Ok, sorry for rambling in advance but! What if the customs of selkie also changes as much as humans?! Before it was unacceptable for a women to have relationships before the marriage, having freedom as in modern society and they were on the same level as the cattle or prized dogs.

What if nowadays selkie would also be acceptable to the idea of letting someone touch their pelt on a serious relationship, but it would not mean their imprisonment with the said person for the rest of their lives?!

I just don’t get why in all modern au fics these faie always act like they haven’t evolved in all these years. What do you think about such an idea?

How to put “wrote fan-fiction” on your résumé:

I worked in HR, handling applications and interviews, and if someone turned in that string of techno babble nonsense, I would have rejected them out of hand.

A resume doesn’t need to sound fancy or overly technical, it needs to tell us why we should hire you.

“Independent novelist/writer” is more than sufficient here. If you want to express the skills that fan fiction taught you, something like, “creative writing, editing, and publication,” will get you a lot further than… Whatever that just was.

A resume should be tailored to the position, if you can afford the time and energy for that. But if not, then just think about what writing got fandom taught you. How to respond to criticism, how to present a professional pubic face, how to correct punished mistakes, creative thinking, project planning, persuasion via emotional leverage, html formatting, office suite fluency.

There are a lot of actual, marketable skills that go into fan fiction.
