Working on a NEW BIG PROJECT - Monster Dating Sim!!

So I finally started working on something that I've been thinking about doing for years now: I am making a dating sim, focusing on monster characters!

Obviously I'm nowhere yet, but I wanted to do a tiny update of what I'm planning. Everything below is still subject to change, including characters and names, and this is just the plan so far.

There's going to be about 4 characters to start with, and I'm planning on adding to that as I go. Starting with:

Demonic Clown

Mothman

Siren

Wyvern

I'm also planning on adding a Rakshasa, a Ghost, a Shadow Monster, a Werewolf, and then finally a Vampire, a Lich, and a Robot. These are the characters I'm planning on doing in the final completed iteration, probably in the order I presented them in. I will be doing the entire project myself, and so far I've been really focusing my time and efforts on the intro story and the 4 character stories above. I'm not really sure how long each route is going to be (and how long it's going to take me), and it really is going to be trial and error.

Here I have an unfinished picture of the character I started on; Vola Dia. A mysterious Jester that's hellbent on making you both scared and laugh. Behind him are sketches of the Mothman and the Rakshasa.

The plan is to make the entire game free to play with maybe some paid elements, though I might decide on doing a demo and a paid version instead. There will definitely be something that's free to play though, because I just like to put that out there for those that are interested.

If I get further along with the project I might start a PATREON for those that wish to support me, but for now I'll keep going slowly but steadily.

Everything is very much still in its infancy, and any type of problem could still happen and prevent me from finishing this. I still felt like doing a small update, since this game might make my future fics come out a little slower.

I summon the monsterfuckers, monsterlovers and monsters of the world to rate my creation. Here are four so far established.

Sigitiru, once inspired by Time Lords of Doctor Who series, but now mangled and smashed around as was my will. All of them are in some way ancient, cryptic and wise, as much as they are primal, modern and hopelessly maladapted for normal interaction. Any individual will be incorporated with some kind of technology, have some sort of weird genetic trade or cosmetic modification. Note, if you wish to court them - they are on average more on graysexual side, as after the deed their bodies are rocked by hormonal surges, that could be lethal. Communication and high trust is key here.

Sutviprra worldbuilding project is currently ongoing and I don’t want to be prescriptive. From what I’m getting now, they are on average more communal, short tempered when under stress and very interested in shifted states of conscience. Their romantic and sensual feelings are associated with intoxication and hormonal changes. Their spermatophore’s edible part is psychoactive for them, adding to their experience of shift of perception while in love.

Strikell come from the same planet as Sutviprra, they manage to get distinct. They have more familiar to people gender dimorphism, with males more colorful, bigger and territorial. Their “hands” - structure inherited from wings, freakishly flexible and scarily strong. This is part of their climbing and running adaptation, in tow with long legs and great stamina.

Zxer name is Zurrow, I wanted to make a joke about how big they get. Their size and appearance, their thunderous calls and scarily long memory, invoke images of elephants and spiders. And, yeah, if you love and know those animals, that good enough. They know about their visage, and play into it when under stress. While friendly, they are incomparable in their ability to be gentle and care. They have inbuilt brushes to groom hair, their forearms have claws, but also cushions to gently pluck.

Hello there Night Queen!!! A quick question from someone seeking a monster partner; how does one attract an eldritch horror? I've been trying to find recourses on ways to woo an incomprehensible being outside of our reality, but the information given is sparse and often contradictory. Frankly, I have absolutely no idea how to go about this. As a side note, this would preferably be a long-term relationship. Are their any ways I can make that known to them? Seriously, thank you for everything!!

Unfortunately, being noticed by an eldritch horror is not an easy feat for a person of this dimension. Many people devote their lives to trying to please one, a "Dark God" of some sort, only to die from sleep deprivation buried in photocopies of ancient tomes. What those people are doing wrong... is that they're trying to get noticed by the oldest and sleepiest of horrors!

What you need is to find some hot eldritch horrors looking for cute mortals! You can either:

Cast spells that are basically the equivalent of making a dating app profile for eldritch beings.

Go to speed dating night at a R'lyehan temple (if you can travel to one)

You can find tomes with such spells either online, at some witch huts, or in an Underworld library. You will obviously need to learn an incomprehensible language, and sacrifice some of your blood, to cast such a spell. Not the easiest feat, especially if you have haemophilia.

At a speed dating night, when you arrive at the temple you will be helped by a devotee with all the preparations you need, most of them harmless, so arrive about half an hour early! Once you and the others are ready, you'll lay down on the dais and your mind will be probed and melded with a horror seeking mortal. This will feel like approximately a week, but in reality it will last about three seconds. During this "week", you will get to know the horror probing your mind, and it will get to know you. Once that's done, there's gonna be a rotation, and another horror will probe your mind. From what I've heard, you'll be going on dates for about 5 to 8 weeks in your mind, and if you connect with a horror you're already sending the psychic signal to it. If it likes you back, it will connect with you afterwards to burn a summoning spell into your brain. You will know everything you will need to know once that happens, and you can start "going out" for real!

Ok, sorry for rambling in advance but! What if the customs of selkie also changes as much as humans?! Before it was unacceptable for a women to have relationships before the marriage, having freedom as in modern society and they were on the same level as the cattle or prized dogs.

What if nowadays selkie would also be acceptable to the idea of letting someone touch their pelt on a serious relationship, but it would not mean their imprisonment with the said person for the rest of their lives?!

I just don’t get why in all modern au fics these faie always act like they haven’t evolved in all these years. What do you think about such an idea?

pros (and some cons) of possibly dating vampires

(I made out of boredom)

+they’re nocturnal which is perfect for night owls and evening birds

- it’s not so good for morning people, especially those energetic during the day

+Gothic or Victorian style of clothing, YUS (especially with modern clothing)

+Never have to worry about burglars, cause who in their right mind would break into a vampire’s home?

-you can’t have garlic or anything made with garlic around the estate (you’ll also have to keep the curtains draped)

-the Vampire might try to bite you (not to eat you heavens) or track the smell blood on you

-ABSOLUTELY NO CRUCIFIXES OR WOODEN STAKES IN A 50 MILE RADIUS OF YOUR UNDEAD PARTNER   

+will turn into a bat to snuggle with you and is travel size, same with rat, but Wolf is for cuddling and belly rubs

+You’d get to live in a cool castle or mansion with your Vampire

- have to buy lots of sun screen and I mean A LOT of sunscreen
