Wish me luck witches!!

I am having all 4 of my wisdom teeth cut out tomorrow. 👄 We’ve been waiting the past 3 years in hopes that they would grow in. They never did and are all impacted.

Have any of you have your wisdom teeth removed? Do you have any tips for me?

I had mine done about 2 years ago. I had two regular pulls and two impacted surgical pulls. I was put under in twilight sedation and it was the best ever aside from being a little loopy and nauseous after!

Take your prescribed meds around the clock even if you’re not in pain. If they give you vicodin or something, only take it for a couple days and switch to ibuprofen to prevent addiction or tolerance. Drink lots of fluids and rest the first few days. Do not drink through a straw. Do not spit a lot, just drool into a cup if you have to. Stick to soft food like soup and mash potatoes until you’re ready. Do not eat chips or anything sharp because it can mess up the clotting and give you dry socket which is excruciatingly painful.

In my gut, I feel that the polarization of this country and its citizens is deliberate. It’s forcing people to ‘choose a side’ and then each ‘side’ is advocating the use of State force to control people in one form or another.

No matter who wins, we lose.

If you have any doubts on regards with this matter, just notice how, if you don’t oppose Trump as a whole, you’re a literal nazi in the eyes of the opposition. Or how, if you oppose any of his policies or decrees, you’re practically a terrorist and enemy of the state.

Being in the middle ground basically makes you an enemy to both.

It is incredibly frustrating (increasingly moreso) because it is becoming harder and harder to appeal to the reason of anyone even slightly leaning to one side or the other. Like I said, it’s causing people to feel compelled to pick a side as though that have no other choice. 

As the lines between ‘extremist’ ideology and moderate-leaning ideologues becomes ever blurry, you then run into the exact issue you described above. Its not even about centrism or being an ‘independent’ — you literally cannot appeal to a person’s sense of judgement without being branded an other.

We’re in the “forces and trends” part of the history book and I’m not sure we have much of a choice anymore as this builds momentum.
