Hot fucking take im not even ashamed of. I prefer the ending of Game of Thrones to the ending of Stranger things. What a fucking waste.
drinking water when I have a headache should give instant relief. it should go away. what's even the point of drinking water if it can't do that
fuuuuck i just realized that the future idealized version of myself cant exist without current me being the catalyst for change and doing hard things. has anybody heard about this
Anti Glamorizing Sex Work:
Would it still be "empowering" if money wasn't involved? Do women in sex work actually like "Sex Work" or is it just fast money..? Let's just keep it realistic please. It is a privilege to glamorize sex work when a lot of people who are sex workers do it out of necessity and are trafficked-- Money, food, clothes, a bed. Stop glamorizing a traumatic lifestyle. Wake Up.

That moment when “Potter’s spawn” becomes “Lily’s son” and then you slowly see it turn into, “Harry”
Hundreds of women were raped and burned alive during the chaos after a Rwandan-backed rebel group entered the Congolese city of Goma last week.
The deputy head of the UN peacekeeping force based in Goma, Vivian van de Perre, said that while several thousand men managed to escape from the prison, the area reserved for women was set on fire.
“They were all raped, and then they set fire to the women’s wing. They all died afterwards.”
The full details of the attack are still unclear, but this believed to be the worst, most violent attack in the recent M23 conflict in eastern DRC.
In the country, often called the "rape capital of the world," widespread sexual violence is often used as a weapon of war by armed groups like M23.
In DRC, legal protections are weak, and survivors face stigma and rejection. The crisis in the DRC is not just a regional issue—it is a human rights emergency.
BBC article:
As M23 rebels entered Goma and the city was plunged into chaos, female prisoners were attacked, the UN says.

“Women are more likely to be attracted to personality and men are more likely to be attracted to physical appearance”
woah maybe that’s because we teach women to see men as people and we teach men to see women as objects
Boom.
I remember seeing this post when I was 14 and unexperienced about the world, and it has surely shaped me, even if marginally, into the feminist I am today.
When I was a preteen tumblr was my personal diary. Can you imagine, for a second, how many girls used tumblr mindlessly for escapism? For us to see this kind of posts, it was fantastic. We were learning about the world under a pro-woman, feminist lens.
This post is from 2012. Can you imagine writing this anywhere, even here on tumblr, without any repercussion? How the argument “biological hardwiring” made its way into young women’s minds, again?
I miss the 2010s tumblr era. This shit was true as fuck.
I don’t know anything about Blake Lively but I applaud her for bringing attention into these PR tactics used to silence victims. Let’s hope it sets a precedent and people think at least twice before slamming a woman for standing up
i think we should talk more about how rape is terrorism
The FBI defines terrorism as
the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives
Sexual violence against 1 in 5 women
to intimidate all female civilians
in order to ensure male control over society goes unchallenged
